About 20 some cruises on Carnival.  My husband and friends really like the fun party vibe on Carnival; however the menu and quality leave much to be desired.  Can’t say i’ve truly enjoyed a really good meal on carnival , and this includes the smaller ships right up to the Vista and Horizon.

have cruised on Celebrity Reflection in 2018 and was a little disappointed.  However the Celebrity Edge in 2020 was great and the Celebrity Beyond in November 2022 was superb.  Great dining venues and menus to match.  Celebrity seems to now be attracting a somewhat younger crowd….more toward their 30-59s as opposed to 60&70s.

the Celebrity pricing is a lot more than Carnival, but in my opinion it is worth it.  I take enough clothing for a 7 day cruise and can wash some small bits of laundry in the sink.  True I miss the Carnival free bags of laundry but the celebrity quality of food, to me is worth it.

even after all that is said, I’ve been outnumbered and we are on the Carnival Celebration February 2023.  Hope it’s not disappointing.

I have previously rented from Scootaround but find their prices so expensive, almost $200 US including insurance, but just got a quote from Safe at sea for $95 including insurance.  Has anybody else tried them?

Hopefully someone has the same interest as my hubby.  He takes a lot of pix of Ships Carnival that we've sailed on and I am attempting to surprise him with a book of photos for his birthday.  So far. I have only pix of the HORIZON, SUNSHINE, MAGIC, AND MIRACLE.  The attached sample of picture is what I am hoping someone can post in this thread so that I can take a screen shot of the buoy.

Have done about 17 cruises with Carnival and doing our first on Celebrity Reflection end of February as friends have raved about food etc.

We've ordered the premium bar package. In checking the bar and dining menus it appears that you can only get certain Liquors in certain Bars. Is this correct that I cannot order a Hendricks Gin or a Highland Park Scotch in each and every bar?

Also what is the protocol for this? Is tipping included on the premium bar bill.

I am hoping that this Reflection cruise won't be a disappoint as I've read that people are not happy with the "too sweet Italian food in the Tuscan Grill" which we've also ordered.

ANYONE HAVE anything good to say about this ship?
