  1. I was on the Dream last week for a 7 day cruise, and formal nights were on days 2 and 5. Slightly different than what we were used to, but we think it was because we had a late sail away from port on night 6 and and early sail away on night 5. Just something to keep in mind. :)

  2. If the departure is too late for the "traditional" seatings, then everyone on the ship will be able to pick their dining time for night 1. We saw this on our Splendor cruise in May. Our departure was at 9pm, so there was no first or second seating for the night. Everyone just went to either dining room when they were ready for dinner.

  3. I was reading about the Cheers program. It sounds like it takes all the work out of it. Do you think with 4 port days, it's worth it? We have been known to imbibe quite a bit on vacation. Or on a Friday night. LOL! Being nickle and dimed to death will drive him insane though; paying for every drink, doing any sort of math or having to worry about it. Having said that, I don't want to purchase something I won't get my money's worth.

Serenity Deck? I haven't heard of that. Sounds like an adults only type thing?

Cheers Is definitely worth it! My boyfriend and I were on a 6 day cruise with 4 port days and did not have the Cheers package on this one. We completely regretted not having it. The amount we spent in drinking conservatively would have definitely made the package worth it. Plus, premium coffees, soft drinks, virgin cocktails and bottled water are included in the price of Cheers.

As for the Serenity Deck, it is a 21+ environment. It's a lovely, comfortable and quiet place to relax. Unfortunately, I do not believe there is a Serenity Deck on the Conquest. :(

  4. On our Splendor cruise in May, we weren't particularly thrilled with visiting Nassau, but we chose to take a 15 minute walk to Junkanoo beach. Free beach access with some good food choices. We absolutely loved the jerk chicken! This was a really nice way to spend a couple of hours on the island. We still made it back onto the ship with plenty of time to enjoy and explore before the masses came back from their excursions. We got into the hot tubs with no problems because the ship was still pretty empty!
