On a 7 day cruise DH and I usually dress up at least 3 nights.. then he wears polos and a nice pant/chino for the other nights.. we're on vacation but.. we're also on a date.

It seems that there is a limit set by Congress of $1300. A news article said that United offered $800 and $1000, but did not use the max limit of $1300. United decided to go with another option.

 

I do like to get to the cruise port a day or 2 early. But not all cruises have that option.

We always fly in the day before. Last time I few United they were "overbooked" and needed 8 volunteers to take the next flight. They offered up to $1200 + hotel and food vouchers. I don't understand how airlines can possibly over book in today's world.

Has anyone been to both? We absolutely LOVED Maya Chan and are thinking of booking Nachi Cocum in Cozumel. Thoughts? Thanks:cool:

Haven't been to Maya Chan, but DH and I have been to Nachi Cocum and enjoyed it. No kids and about 3-4 other couples.

How was boarding? What time did they start?

There's a group that we're on the jade before kid rocks. #YLGLC17 you can try to find photos under that hashtag on Instagram.

LIke many things, because of the lack of consideration of a portion of people using them. If you take a picture in a hallway and your stick blocks the rest of the hallway and everyone has to stop, they get annoying, but if people are courteous they aren't too bad. I've had people with selfie stick behind me put them over my head and in front of me to get a photo.

 

Personally, I'd prefer to ban all self phone cameras period! (Mostly just kidding) My niece asked me to get some nice pictures of her twins first birthday party, but it was hard to do with all the 7 year olds with Iphones in the baby's faces. I had to elbow a few of those girls in their noses quite hard to get them to move, then more moved in! (Again, mostly kidding)

Im always careful not to be in anyone's way when using the selfie stick.. and only use it when there's very few people around. We're not ppl who walk around with it in front of us either. But ofc, not everyone is like that.

If someone is around to just turn away because they are bothered, did you know that that means that someone is there to be asked "please will you take our picture?"

 

Other people do have uses!

Honestly I hate bothering ppl and just prefer to take my own pictures. DH prefers asking strangers to take our photos.. some photos turn our really good and others, bad.. once a guy thought it was funny to snap multiple selfies of him and one of us.. which DH blinked in. DH thinks it funny and hung it in his man cave.

I don't know why some people are so bothered by selfie sticks. If you see someone using one.. just look away... I have one that I've used a few times, its the only way DH and I can both be in the picture.

You can also stop by a store in FLL and pick up a jar of Aquaphor before you head to the port.

NCL's internet package is $24.99 per day. Does anyone know if everyone has to purchase their own internet package.. we're only going to use it for texting, no pictures or surfing. It'll be $400+ for 2 for the week.

Hmm I wanna say Tuesday. I've seen kids as young as 2 there. My three year old will be parting with us at the glow party on our next cruise. They usually pass out glow necklaces but it's first come first serve.. so I would bring my own
