  1. I was able to get the 20% discount to go through today (4/13 - after it was supposed to have ended) for my December cruise.   The discount didn't show up when I logged in, but my mom was able to complete the purchase and get the discount by using my booking number.  Question though - does any one know if we will get the additional 10% statement credit on the Carnival credit card?

  2. My husband and son took this excursion in May 2018 through Carnival and loved it.  We are all going back to Grand Turk in December 2020 and they would like to do it again.  Does anyone know what beach the excursion ends up at?  I would like for my 9 year old daughter and myself to be able to spend beach time with them when they are done, but she is not old enough to go on the excursion.

    Thanks!

  3. Going on the Carnival Legend in April.  Will be stopping in Grand Cayman, Belize, Roatan and Cozumel.  My husband would like to go Zip Lining "through the jungle".  Can anyone recommend a good tour for zip lining in Roatan?  I am interested in seeing the sloths as well, but zip lining is more important.  If you have think zip lining would be better at another one of our ports, I'm open to that as well.  Thanks!!

  4. We are cruising on the Legend in mid April for our anniversary (first trip more than 2 days sans kids).  When I checked in, the earliest arrival time was 12 to 12:30 pm.  We have purchased Faster To Than Fun.  Am I correct that we can get on the ship before our set arrival time with the FTTF?  If so, how do I determine what time the ship will be there and we are able to get on?

We stayed in 4J's on the Breeze (7201 & 7202) and they had a couch. Looking at cabin pictures on cruisedeckplans dot com, 6201 & 6202 also have couches. :classic_cool:

Edited to add. Looking at the photos from the deck 9 cabins, they do not have couches. Two of the three 4J's on that deck are handicapped rooms. :classic_cool:

    This was our Breeze 4J.....

See this is what has me so confused. Carnivals website says that 6201 and 6202 have “two twin beds (convert to king). Desk and seat” and do not show a couch on the photo.

  6. I have the Breeze booked in April 2020 in a 4J (9201).   I called Carnival as different websites are giving me different information on the features of the room.  According to Carnival, this room, and the others in the category (specifically 6201 and 6202) have a desk and ottoman seat.  I was hoping for couch/sofa that we can sit on to watch tv.  The Carnival rep says the ottoman is sufficient for two people. Does anyone have a recent photo of these rooms so I can figure out what an ottoman seat is. Thanks!!

  7. Which Conquest cabin? We were on her two weeks ago in cabin 7418 and we loved the location. Our only con for the room placement was we had any time dining. Our dining room was on 3, but we actually had to go past it, almost to the front of the ship and then down to get to it due to the galley, etc. Not worth not booking the same room again though.

  8. I have a hold on Cabin 9201 on the Breeze. Can anyone give me any information on this cabin? It is a 4J with the "secret" deck view. I've never been at the front of the ship like that. I'm concerned about noise (I'm a semi-light sleeper) and movement to a certain degree. It is right under the bridge and according to the deck plans, there is a stairwell next to it (I'm assuming employee stairs to the bridge??). Movement hasn't bothered me in the past, but I've always been aft, port side (only 2 cruises in though). I thought about getting a balcony room like we had last time, but I really like the idea of the price savings.

I tend to over-analyze these things so would love as much information as you guys can share!!

  9. Now I'm going to be "that person" - I know that sharing is not allowed. But honestly, how often is the package taken away from someone? I mean, if my husband gets our 6 year old the occasional milkshake or virgin drink (and I mean occasional, not regular), is he going to lose his package?

  10. We are going on the Conquest in less then two weeks. My husband mentioned (last night - ugh - we've been booked for 20 months!!) maybe we need Cheers. I'm torn as I'm not sure we drink enough. We are booked in two separate rooms, currently, myself and our 6 year old in one room, and my husband and 18 year old in the other room. We had decided that once we get on ship, we are going to switch my daughter and husband's rooms so their sign and sail card work for the room they will actually be sleeping in.

If we buy Cheers for my husband pre-cruise, we will only have to pay for one person. If we get on ship and switch his room, we will have to buy it for me at that time?

  11. This is perhaps the most overlooked FAQ on Carnival. Two weeks ago we saw 25" suitcases being wheeled up the gangway. There were no small plexiglass size templates in the screening machine, and they went through.

I can share that for all our cruises from Galveston my wife's suitcase was far in excess of 50 pounds!

    .

Okay - now you have me worried. I have a 29 inch suitcase, but according to the internet it is 14x30x18 inches. I should be good though right?!?! Cause of the width and depth.

  12. We are cruising on the Conquest next month. Our group consists of myself, my husband, our two kids (6 and almost 19) and my parents. We are booked on paper as my daughter and I in one room, my husband and son in one room and my parents in a third room. I am looking at purchasing the photo package as a gift for my parents (dad's birthday and mother's day both fall during the cruise).

"At least 1 person in the stateroom must be in each photo in the Pixels photo package or children under 21 staying in a different cabin to receive the images as part of the pixels photo package."

If I purchase it for say my room, does this mean that as long as either myself or my daughter is in the picture it will count towards the package? I'm looking at the larger "all photos" packages.

    Thanks!!

  13. We are taking our kids on their first cruise in May on the Conquest. I know we can bring on sodas for our teen, but what about juice boxes for our 6 year old? I know they aren’t cans but didn’t know if they would fit in the policy. Any one have any experience with this?

  14. Sounds right. If you think you stand a good chance of having to cancel why book ES?

The difference in price is a big enough difference to justify IF I have to cancel. I'm looking at booking a cruise for April 2019. I have no clue what might happen between now and then. With the reduced deposits and the lower price, I think Early Saver is the way to go. I would rather wait to book until a little closer, but I'm worried I will not be able to get a good cabin, or the reduced deposits.

  15. I'm looking to book on the Reduced Deposit sale going on right now that ends today. I would be booking Early Saver with the $50 per person deposit. Can anyone confirm - if I cancel the cruise prior to the final payment date, I will lose my $50 per person deposit and if I make any more payments prior to canceling, those will become credit for Carnival and not refunded...correct??

  16. I looked all over Carnival's website and I can find the rules / regulations for bringing drinks and alcohol aboard, but what about food? We will be going on a cruise to celebrate my son's high school graduation and I would like to bake him cookies or something for the room. I know I can order a cake or something, but I MUCH prefer home made :) Also - my toddler daughter has certain snacks she really likes and I normally bring those along when we travel. Any one have any experience with this?

  17. Thanks all! Not sure if this matters, but the reason we are considering changing rooms is to allow my mom in law to join, so she would be in with the kids. My husband is super paranoid when it comes to our daughter. I have never seen her try to climb a fence/wall, etc but he is super concerned cause that is who he is. We are trying to find a room that will accommodate 3 on the 7th floor, which only seems to be the balcony. There would be an adult with her at all times.

  18. Hi all!! Newbie here. We are booked on the Conquest in April 2018 for a high school graduation gift for our son. We booked two rooms, one for the kids who will be 18 (two months shy of 19) and 6.5 at the time we cruise, and one across the hall for us. We are considering moving the kids to a balcony room, but my husband is concerned about the safety of the balcony for a 6.5 year old. Let me just say she will NEVER be alone in the room or on the balcony, but she is a very adventurous kid. Can you guys give me some insight on the likelihood of a child climbing and falling off of a balcony? We are in 7423 and are looking at putting the kids next door.
