  1. i just saw a water post and i had to jump in. just came back from princess and they charged me only 8 bucks for a case of water vs the 70 that NCL charged me (didnt even get a haven discount)

you can also bring on unlimited water and soda

if princess can do this, why cant NCL?

They just want to RIP there good faithful customer off !! After they charge them all this money for the cruise etc then get another 50$ out of them .

  2. Water is obviously free, but bottled water isn't, even with the UBP.

Unless you have booked the all inclusive rate in Europe, in which case you get some delivered to your room. There are also others who get some water free, such as higher latitudes levels.

What latitude do u need to be to get the free water?

  3. Depends on which day of the week, but this is far too adventurous, Stonehenge is an hour from Southampton and even if you leave the ship at 7am and only have an hour at Stonehenge, its then 2 hours into London, even a whistlestop tour from a car of the sights not getting out to go in any and travel back to Southampton at least 1 ½ hours to be back in advance of 5pm you will do very little, London's legendary traffic will make you nervous of not getting back. Think again!!

Remember they have one of the best train system in the world , look into catching that.

  4. The British Isles are a big county w lots of things to see. You have provided us w absolutely no information about your trip plans. Your question is the equivalent of saying "I am visiting the USA and I need to know what I must see and what not to see". The answers you will get will be totally useless.

  5. We did a transatlantic on Jade in April last year and the return ta in October last year on the Jade. This was before dry dock improvements. The service was great, the food was good (we ate in Le Bistro, Cagneys, La Cucina, both MDR's, buffet, and Jasmine ), and we enjoyed the entertainment. We have a Christmas 2018 cruise booked on Jade.

    Thank happy to hear .

  6. whenever these cruise lines and their trusted sales agents tell you a "good deal", always assume they are purposely only telling half of the story and the deal is something you have to jump through hoops to get.

because most of the time, they are.

assume they are skillful liars and you will be less surprised.

    I agree totally !!

  7. We just got off the Jade. Love the size of the ship, but we were underwhelmed by the activities on board. We really struggled to find anything of interest and ended up reading books most of the time. Entertainment in the theater is typical NCL, so expect a magician, dancers and singers of dubious quality, some sort of tribute band, and maybe a aerobatic type show. The food was a major disappointment for us. Dinner menus just weren't up to even the average standard we're used to on a cruise.

Thank you ! Sorry about your disappointment on food . I hope things change by next year,

  8. It is very disappointing to see that NCL are only using 7 of there total 25 bookings for Sydney's OPT in 2018/19. That is 28% of their total bookings, especially since all cruise lines have complained about the lack of berthing facilities in Sydney.

As of today 25 October, NCL still holds space at OPT from October 2018 to April 2019.

  9. I have been there several times. It is a very large and beautiful country.

When you post on the Australia/New Zealand board you will get far better feedback if you list out the specific ports on your itinerary including ports of embarkation/disembarkation and ports along the way.

  10. We've been on the Jewel twice, once for b2b Transatlantic/British Isles and once for Western Caribbean. We really liked the layout of the Jewel and enjoyed friendly service.

Thank you we just book it to anew Zealand . I’m super excited .

  11. We booked early for an Alaskan cruise which gave us enough points for platinum status. Then the price came down enough that we upgraded but VCP did not tell that by upgrading we would lose the double points so after the fact we find out that we are 1 day short of platinum status. We will never book with that cruise planner again but we still have rewards cert. to use.needless to say we are pretty pissed at Norwegian

  12. The Jewel is in Australia/New Zealand during the southern summer (2017/18). I cannot see a decision being made about where it will be in the next summer season (2018/19) till this season has been examined. The re-positioning cruises have sold well 2017/18 but the money making will depend on the use of the ship while south.

We just booked on the jewel dec 2018 12 days super excited . Have u ever been??
