VC's on starboard side of Verandah deck at front (well front side is what I mean) of ship
VA's on Rotterdam deck all on starboard at front (front side) of ship
Or a guarantee VA at the extreme back of the ship on the Verandah deck. If not avail they will upgrade us to a suite.
Can someone tell me why I would want a VA on Rotterdam deck vs VC on Verandah deck? Why would I pay more for that? I realize it is "higher up" but is there a deck or stateroom difference?
Also, is the exreme back of the ship something "special"? If so, why? Deck size?

I guess I do not understand how they can offer you a VA guarantee at the extreme back of the ship. My understanding is that if you take a VA guarantee, you are capable of receiving a VA cabin ANYWHERE on the ship (or POSSIBLY a higher cabin category). I am not aware of being able to get a guarantee for a particular area of the ship. If a VA aft does not become available, it is likely that you would end up with a VA elsewhere on the ship before you would be upgraded to a SS/SY/SZ.
As rooms in these categories are about the same, a VC should be fine. We often go with a VC in the area you describe.
