  1. We went on our January trip and really enjoyed the excursion.  Nice location overlooking a dolphin swim pool and the ocean.  Staff was great, plenty of drinks, and I enjoyed the food.  Really surprised me, I was a little skeptical as well.  The chef Luis made it a great experience.  You will enjoy the excursion.

  2. We just got off the Adventure on Monday the 25th of April, the ship and trip were outstanding!  We had been on the Adventure, same cruise in November.  The entertainment in the Schooner bar and the Duck and the Dog pub were much better than in November.  We had a much larger crowd on the ship, but mostly no major tie ups except the casino and the 70's party.  Housekeeping and MDR staff were outstanding.   The slide only had one slide working, but it was definitely not slow at all, almost flipped over on a couple of curves and at about 190 lbs, almost airborn at the bottom.  Windjammer sinks not a big issue, but we were not there at peak time, the lines could back up, we waited a very short time.  The service by staff on the buffet felt safer on our November cruise, and yes, some people unfortunately skipped the wash stations.  It was nice to have more passenger interaction than in November, we met a bunch of great people on the trip.  Drinks and bar staff, outstanding!  Very happy to be cruising and the staff on the ship did a great job.

  3. Thanks Cruiselvr04.  We are on the Friday cruise leaving on Nov 26th.  Nice to hear some of the comments.  Hoping the crowds are limited.  We have dinner at chops and will book Giovanni's when we get on board.  You said Giovanni's was open for Breakfast? How does that work, and how did you like it?

How did you feel about the ports, safe to explore, or just stay on the ship?

Thanks for the review and your insight.

  4. I was only offered a lift and shift on the same ship same sail date for 2022.  We took the lift and shift offered, we had wanted to move to 2 weeks earlier with the same itinerary, but not available.   The process was pretty smooth, and we definitely would rather wait and be sure sailings are up and running and also see Vancouver as opposed to a potential shift to Seattle.  This is our 3rd reschedule on this trip, but the price is really great and we did not want to take a chance on losing the price and definitely did not want wait as there have been a large number of bookings already shifted to this cruise.

  5. We just lift and shifted our cancelled April 21 cruise to April 22, no was the answer give by our Royal Customer call in agent.  I have done the same as an above poster and written to ask for an extension on the double points promo to cover the cancelled sailing.  I have 2 future Royal sailings and 1 future Celebrity sailing book.  I hope they revise to cover the cancelled sailings.  Like was pointed out, we gave an interest free loan, and really no cost to them.  Hopefully we will see a change soon, at least one can hope.

  6. Add us to the brainless people.  We have on cruise booked for this November and 2 for 2021, both rebooked one using lift and shift.  We have definite doubts on the November cruise, but keep hoping it will sail as planned.  As for the 2021 cruises, we are booked for Alaska in September at an exceptional rate and November on the Oasis of the Seas.  With all of the CWC offers, seems to me there is little risk.  If they sail, great, and I can say I took advantage of the great deals,  Additionally, the early sailings will have partial loads, not full ships, so to me, it's worth a gamble.  I'm in the camp of let's get sailing and enjoying.  I vote, take a chance on the deals.  Now if the lines are not sailing by the end of the  year.......I think at that point, I would start to worry about getting my money back.  Fingers crossed sailings start sooner rather than later.

  7. Well with all the concern about travelling in 2020, we chose to lift and shift to 2021.  This will be our second trip to Alaska, and out first cruise on Celebrity.  We are looking forward to the trip and plan to spend a day or so in Vancouver and we are looking forward to meeting all of our fellow cruisers.  I can't wait to get planning on excursions, plans.  We would love to get your input on making it the best trip ever.

Please join and tell us about you and your cruising experience.

  8. We just shifted and lifted an Alaska trip from Sept this year to 2021.  Kept our great rate, kept our perks.  Needed to juggle a little to get it done, but it seems to have worked great.   The sales team in general has been really helpful in getting it done.   Our original cabin would have resulted in an obstructed view on the new cruise, but we worked through the issue and upgraded the original cruise, then lifted and shifted so we got what we wanted.

Really great price for an awesome cruise

    Thanks Celebrity!

  9. We are watching this thread.  We are booked on the Allure for Thanksgiving 2021, sounds like this booking won't happen. Very sad, we were on the Allure a few years ago and were extremely excited to get back on an Oasis class ship so convenient to us in Galveston.  Hopefully we will hear on the resolution quickly.  I understand the delay due to the lack of cash/income from the shutdown, hopefully it is just a delay.

  10. We wore the wet suits and they were definitely good to have.  I think if there were issues, there would be many complaints with as many people take the tour.  If you choose not to use the wetsuits, try a rash Guard (a shirt surfers use to keep warm) and perhaps longer bathing pants.  Yes, the wet suit was warm on the walk back from the river, but I am sure it would not have been comfortable without the wetsuit.  The caves were really worth the visit.  Our guide Jesus did a great job on teaching us about the caves, the water, and the wildlife,   Really enjoyed the excursion.

  11. Thanks for writing the review.  We are on EOS this September and are tying to learn all we can.

Hope you try Royal Caribbean again, try one of the Oasis class ships, too much to fit all in one week and the ships are just beautiful.  We sailed on the allure and loved the central park, the promenade was also great for shows and parades.   We really enjoyed the different dining locations.  Carnival is nice too, no complaints on the cruises we have been on.

    Again, Thanks for the review

  12. Travelling this September from Galveston on the Enchantment of the Seas.  Saw the deluxe drink package at $49 per day.  This is the lowest I had seem it advertised at.   I booked, but will definitely watch to see if it goes lower, but for now, I am happy to have caught the break.  I think I can easily handle 4 to 5 drinks a day or more on sea days, so I think this one will pay ok.

  13. Leo is 100% right. Your deals are refundable/changeable up to 2 days prior to departure. I had read on cruise critic that you can get the same or better deals on board. This was not true, we were asked to pay full price on board. We had also bought one of our drink packages online prior to the cruise. We got a combined internet and drink package for $1 a day more than the discounted (20% off) drink package alone. If you see this offer, buy it! It is the best deal. But most of all, buy prior to the cruise, you will not see a better deal on board. Plus, now you can use your on board credit ahead of time, so no need to wait until onboard.

  14. Just got off the Allure. My wife and I had a couples massage, 50 minute deep tissue massage. First time for us. We waited for a short time in a waiting room that smelled great, looked nice, and had very relaxing music. We were greeted by our masseuses and taken back to a simple room with two beds. We were asked about services and areas to be worked. The staff was very skilled and it was a very nice experience. Be prepared, they may try to sell you on their treatments, but it was worth the time and the money. Book ahead of your cruise and try to get a port day appointment if you want to keep it a little more affordable.
