  1. Thanks for the pictures, they look great! I'm wondering if maybe I can get a separate photo shoot later in the cruise since Baltimore's water doesn't make the prettiest backdrop ;p

I'm getting married on 9/2 on the Pride. I agree with you about the Baltimore water! I was thinking of getting another, cheaper LOL, light white dress to where at one of the ports for a few pictures of him and I, taken by a family member. That way I will have atleast a few with pretty water haha

  2. The pride is one of my favorite ships. I'm sure your wedding will be amazing.

Shortly after we got married, carnival changed their wedding packages to what they are now, so unfortunately my information for that will be out dated.

We did get some outside shots I'll post them a little later. It's a bit of a pain to upload images on this site lol

I believe they have put the packages back to the way they were when you had yours. I am booked under the other 'version of packages', and after that I saw that they had changed AGAIN. A lot of people said they got money back by cancelling under the tiered package, and rebooking under the group package like you had. I chose no alcohol for mine so it didn't make a difference in cost for me. We have 27 non-sailing guest, and I didn't feel right giving alcohol & then having them drive 3+ hours home.

    Hi there!!

We're confirmed for the Pride as well ! July 2018. Were went with a destination wedding in Freeport on the 5th day.

I met my fiancé on the Pride on 07/20/2014 and will marry him on the Pride 07/20/2018. Can't wait!!

I must have overlooked this! Congrats! How excited are you for this weekend?!?

  4. Thanks so much for your review. I'm going on the Pride in June for my wedding. Would you happen to have saved your Fun Times by any chance? I've been trying to track down some recent copies and haven't had any luck just yet. I'm trying to see when the Quest game and the Love and Marriage show is as I'd like to include those as events for our entire party to do together. I want to include some highlights and not to miss activities in our welcome letter.

Are you getting married on the ship? If so, in Baltimore before it leaves, or on one of the islands?

  5. Congrats to all! I will also be looking forward to your review! I will be getting married on the Pride September 2nd, I don't want to wish away summer (especially since it took sooooo long to get warm out!) but can't wait for the day, before we leave Baltimore! I would have loved to get married on one of the islands, but not all of our guest would be able to travel with us. I love that they have the option to get married before hand, and allow guest to board the ship for the wedding! I love your bags and fun times!! Do you have trail or normal size items inside it? I'm wanting to do the same thing! How many are sailing with you guys?!

  6. We have some experience with standard rentals on a Princess ship and I will honestly say that we are buying my fiancee a tux for the wedding since he absolutely must wear a tux, not a suit. Our Princess tux rental experience wasn't great. The tux almost didn't arrive in time for formal night and, when it did, they had forgotten (but later located) shoes. The tux had been well-loved and didn't fit well. For us, we want the peace of mind of knowing everything will fit perfectly, look great, and we won't have to wonder when it will show up. Honestly, if you catch a sale and plan to take another cruise with a formal night, you can justify the investment.

Cheers to all the brides and grooms! We're looking forward to a October 2018 wedding and this thread has been great for info.

Where did you guys get his tux from & the cost of it, if you don't mind me asking. I went in and questioned at Men's Warehouse, I think that's the name, close to 2 weeks ago. She took my info down & said she had to talk to her boss about it, that she would call me back in 24-48 hours and I have yet to receive a call. We should look into the prices to purchase as well, compared to renting. If it's not much of a difference we might as well buy too. Are you getting married with Carnival, or another line?

  7. You said you went with the DJ for the reception. Did you have to pick out all the songs to be played? That's the way it seems on their paperwork. If so, do they play them in the order you have written down, or do they mix it up? If not, do you just tell them what 'type' of music to play and they pick the songs? Also, I'm very bad with clothing, but did you wear a Tux or suite? My fiancé wants to wear a Tux, but coming into problems with rentals being most places want it returned the day after the wedding. Any insight you could give on that? I love coming back to your post with all the questions everyone is asking you! Hope you guys are enjoying married life!! :)

  8. Thank you so much for this!! I will be calling tomorrow on my day off to switch it up! What did you guys originally have planned and then switched it too? I’m trying to remember what cost it was before, but I’m pretty sure i put down $3,000 already which completely covers it, it seems with the new booking!

  9. All your pictures look great! And your wife, stunning beautiful! I love her dress! Did you guys bring the cake topper & all the fish netting, shells and extra things on your guestbook table? Did you guys preorder the hanging decorations? I was thinking of doing one of the packages with that, the picture frame and the just married beach towel.

  10. This post has been amazingly helpful! What type of party favors did you have for your guest, if any? I’m doing the appetizers and tea/punch on mine too. What appetizers did you guys pick and would you recommend others to pick the same? How about pictures? Did you love them, hate them? We’re the pushy with selling them to you? Did you wife stay in her dress the whole day after you set sail?

  11. Check out www.zazzle.com they have a few ticket looking options and are pretty affordable.

Also, I paid I think like $20 or $40 to sign up for their membership for the year which gives me free shipping on all my orders (a HUGE savings for us because I have ordered so much through them and still have more to order like those flyers I was talking about) And I get emailed sales...maybe a little too much, I get probably 3-4 emails a week. BUT I have saved so much by timing my purchases to their sales.

We bought ticket themed save the Dates during a 50% off sale and they wound up being about $1 each. Ours weren't magnets but I remember them offering magnets and have seen sales for 30-50% off magnets too.

Someone had mentioned zazzle in their post before. Totally forgot about it, I'll have to go check it out! That's not bad! I love free shipping on things! Haha!

  12. I don't mind! I ordered 30 of them. I also paid extra for all of the invite envelopes to have the name/address and return address, as well as the RSVP envelopes to have an address on them. It came to $484. She literally had the proofs to me same day. And I should have them in 2-3 weeks.

Oh wow that's a lot. I am looking at over 50 and could never afford that price lol! But they are beautiful!!!

  13. Well you can make an educated guess for mine. We're doing the hour and a half reception so we're almost positive the wedding will start at 1.

But I used the time were meeting at the port for the invitations, website, etc. I know my friends and family would see 1 and think they could show up to the port at 1 and not make it to the wedding.

I'm going to make little flyers that our nieces will pass out with the weekend itinerary when everyone gets to the port. That flyer will have the exact ceremony time and location.

Very true, I didn't think of time wise people would think that! But then again I am trying to pursued everyone to stay the night before in Baltimore with us, since it's 2 hours from us and longer for others!

  14. Honestly, it was a best guess from everything I read. Also, I figured they will all be there and shown the "place" after we board, so if its 12:30 or 1pm.. close enough. (We are on a cruise, right? lol) The real time to stress is the 10am or 10:30a, for pre boarding. I opted for stating 10am, to hopefully insure everyone would be there by 10:30am.

Have you looked into invites yet? I used Melody at emDOTzee and did the boarding ticket type invites. These are the ones I went with:

    http://emdotzee.com/blog/2016/07/light-blue-gray-swirls-cruise-ship-boarding-pass-wedding-invitations/

She was really fast and great to work with. Just waiting on printing/shipping now. I am going against the grain and just sending them out roughly 1 year prior. I want to make sure that everyone has all the information they need to get the best prices on the cruise, if they want to come. Also, I cant direct older folks to a website, as they have no idea what that is. Lol.

I have glanced around. And was on the same path as you, the invites being sent out so early. That's why I was thinking of doing a website and sending out save the date magnets to all the info. I love them! Do you mind sharing how many you bought and the cost? I love them!

  15. I used the knot. It was fairly easy to use, although I did feel like I had to make a lot of changes to get it organized the way I wanted. And honestly I feel like very few people even looked at it. They just text us anyway

That's what I started working on but with all the info to share it seems so overwhelming. Would you mind sharing the link to yours so I can check it out?
