Thanks all for the input. For cruises we have always bought the insurance due to pre-existing conditions. No reason to stop now.
Happy sailings

Just booked a cruise in May 2022. Deposit is refundable and if I book flights through Celebrity Air, airfare is not due until final payment. In this scenario is travel insurance really necessary? I know we risk circumstances turning against us during those final few months but seems worth the risk as opposed to buying trip insurance.
Am I looking at this correctly? Thank you for your input.

Thank you for those responses. We will definitely embark next March with our future itinerary picked out.
Smooth sailings...Dirk

Greetings,
New to Regent cruising and booked on the Explorer, March 11, 2018. Have read on numerous posts of cruisers frequently booking their next cruise while on their current cruise. What are benefits in this method of booking as opposed to booking with your TA?
I ask because it is quite apparent we will love cruising with Regent and we want to have our next cruise picked out before we embark March of next year.
Thank you for your responses.

Delayed airfare purchase for future cruise

Due to pre-existing conditions we always purchase trip insurance. We have put a deposit down (8/8/20) for a cruise in May 2022 however, of course, it is too soon to purchase the airfare. How do we account for the airfare when purchasing the trip insurance? Estimate the cost for the initial premium or update policy once airfare has been purchased?
Thank you
