  1. Hi everyone,

    I am cruising from Lisbon in three weeks time and have received an e-mail informing me that I can now check in on line, however I do not have a camera mobile phone and therefore will be checking in at the terminal has anyone else checked in this way and were there any problems.  I have spoken to customer service and they said this will still be possible, the online check in is to speed things up. I would be gateful for any input.

Our next cruise is on 13th October 13th to 24th October Lisbon to Rome, we booked this cruise the end of July when it offered just O Life where we picked the on board credit, the following week it was offering Ultimate O life with all three offers, I contacted my TA to see if she could get us the Ultimate offer, she has been trying repeatedly by e-mail and telephone and cannot get an answer for us, I am now going to go direct to them, I know they are not keen to speak to customers when they use a TA but I feel customer service are dragging their feet, this will be our 5th cruise with them and not impressed with customer service.

  3.  Hope you experienced Viking cruisers can help with the following questions.

    1.  What is the cost of the Silver drinks package (I cannot seem to find it on the Viking website)

    2.  Has anyone got a photo of the drinks menu re cost

    3.  Do Viking have a Happy Hour (my DH is twittering about this in my ear as I type)

    Hope to be on a caribbean cruise this November left it until the last minute due to my husbands hip replacement problems haven't had a decent holiday for two years so badly in need of some R & R.

  4. Hi Everyone

     

    We are going on the Spanish Serenade cruise from Barcelona on the 16th November and just wanted to ask all of you Cruise Critic members who seem to have a wealth of information a question regarding how booked the cruise could be.

     

    A couple of weeks ago the web site was showing availability in all categories apart from inside cabins, it then changed to all but the Penthouse suits to guaranteed, I have just noticed it has now changed to waitlist for all categories apart from some Penthouse and A1 concierge. Is this because they have had a sudden flurry of late bookings or could they have made a special offer to a large group?

     

    I would appreciate your thoughts.

  5. We are staying in Santiago for three days in January after a South American cruise on Marina. Has anyone got any suggestions for a good comfortable:) hotel near to the tourist sites, restaurants etc., I have been searching various travel sites and have become overwhelmed with the number of hotels in the different areas. As CC members have been very helpful in the past I thought this would be the place for recommendations.

  6. We are considering the Christmas/New Year cruise from Buenos Aires to Valparaiso in December'16, as it is during school holidays we were wondering if there would be some children on board. We are not averse to children as we have grandchildren of our own but as Oceania do not appear to provide facilities or entertainment we wondered if there would be some aboard.

     

    Also anyone who has been on this cruise and has any tips or suggestions would be gratefully received.

We have being trying to decide whether to book this cruise as the itinerary is so interesting but have concerns about any changes, however, at the moment it has been put on hold as I have a medical issue to resolve. My question is do any of the cruise critic regulars have experience of Oceania informing passengers of changes before the cruise so we can make an informed decision or do they wait until the day of departure or when you are on board. I have called Oceania UK but they cannot tell me anything at present.

     

    I have received so much helpful information from Cruise Critic in the past so I am hoping you can shed some light on this for me.

     

     

    PS My husband is not keen of sea days but I love them.

  8. We are booked on the Eclipse on the 7th of June with the same offer of classic drinks package and pre-paid gratuities which does not show on my e-docs. I rang Celebrity UK and they assured me that it shows on their booking and there wouldn't be a problem. Hope this is so as I don't want any problems when we are on board.
