I think this is really good news. Simon has lots of cruise experience and I think was very much missed when he moved over to Royal. We sailed with him on a number of occasions and found him to be a very good listener and very good company. His brother brought lots of fantastic live music and entertainment throughout the ship.

Hope we bump into both of them soon on a future sailing.

I took the advice on here to ask TA to request loungers and a table we can eat a meal from. The request has gone in for our TA in an aft corner sky suite. Ill keep you posted....

The retreat looks a lovely area and the adjacent lounge looks great for a snack and drink. Just one thing, are there lockers and showers in the retreat area. 

We would want to shower and change before a nice luminae lunch, but couldn't identify if there were any facilities.  Can anyone help?

I didn't see the safe. I recall there was a problems when S class was launched with the position as it was difficult to access. It was changed on subsequent ships.

Has anyone located it?

I have tried to look at this link but it keeps changing to the Celebrity UK site and I cant find the information there.

Last trip the MCC resolved account problems etc...the sorts of issues for guest relations were dealt with. Is this the same?

We have a suite on that side a few rooms forward of the MC. We thought it would be fun to see how it was used and what goes on...at least for 1 cruise.

I guess it will be about introducing new features on existing ships like all the electronic gizmos and use of apps which are going on Edge. Similar to when Millenium class were solsticized. Cant make it fit withe eye/island though!

The new booking deal for sailings up to 2020 is good but once again excludes transatlantics even though prices are now equivalent to regular cruises. This can be right can it?

They are doubling the number of suites on Edge because of demand. I wonder if they will be adding additional suites on other ships as part of the knock down and rebuild of staterooms?

We have had some fantastic tours with fantastic people over the years on around 25 cruises worldwide. Just 2 major issues...one in Bali. We should have known...the couples main questions were about the cost of the trip. They brought sandwiches made on the ship for the day...it was over 30 degress. We had arranged a Balinese lunch...they declined. We sat in the air conditioned restaurant and they sat on a wall in the full sun across the road eating their picnic! We had a great tour. At the end they had no local money. He took out a calculator worked out what they owed in UK £ handed it to us. jumped out of the van. Fortunately we had enough to pay and give a decent tip.

The other was a shared taxi. The man was 20 mins late at the start. The woman's card didnt work in a shop and instead of just leaving kept us waiting 25 minutes. He got really aggressive when I said he would have to go get her. It was a really unpleasant trip.

Lessons learned from both experiences.
