  1. We always cruise Royal. but was looking at Carnival and saw they have grande suites and there are perks included.  But I can't find what those perks are?  Does anybody know?  And if they are, how do they stack up to Royal's?   Royal is a good bit more $$ for the suite, but we know what perks are offered and love them. That's why we're in a suite on the  Allure in February.   I always had the impression Carnival was like the  Walmart of the cruise industry, but the whole suites & perks thing got my attention.  Any input folks?

  2. We've sailed Royal and the perks we get for being in a suite are great.  I've been trying to find what perks we would get on a Carnival Cruise, since they're so handy to us.  We could sail out of Mobile, New Orleans or Jacksonville and be on the road no longer than 5 hours max so it makes it appealing.  But I must be looking in the wrong places to try to find the types of suites, and the perks that accompany each level of suite.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  3. Here's what some of the excursions state... "On the return bus ride you’ll venture through Coxen Hole, the Bay Islands’ capital town, where you can either stay on the bus heading back to port, or be dropped off in the city to explore further and arrange your own transportation back to the ship. RTE5" That's why I was confused. I wasn't sure exactly how close Coxen Hole was, or if it could be a problem getting back to the ship. Perhaps we'll just line up something through Victor Bodden tours. They seem to have a good rating here at Cruise Critic.

  4. Thanks. That's what our son does on Royal. But I wasn't seeing anything on the Celebrity website regarding teens. We almost booked a cruise on Holland even though their website didn't mention anything much about kids either. But then found out that their cruises are mostly all adults. So we went back with Royal again last year.

  5. We've cruised RCCL and they have a great area for the teens to hang out, plus neat activities. We're thinking about trying Celebrity, but I'm not finding much info as I'd hoped regarding teens programs, clubs, etc. on their ships. Their website isn't as user friendly as RCCL in finding that stuff out either. So I'm asking fellow cruisers for advice.
