Wow that’s great! Can I know when is the sail and when did you bid & receive the offer?

This was back in the beginning of June 2023. We bid about 1 month before our trip and received the offer two days before sailing.

  2. Hi everyone! I'm cruising on Seascape with my family in March. A couple of years ago we were on Seashore and LOVED the shows in the Cabaret. I'm curious about the current theater and Cabaret Rouge shows on Seascape. I looked at some Thanksgiving-week daily programs, and it looks like the main theater shows are new to me. How are they? What about the Cabaret shows? Are they the same each night? Different? When we were on Seashore we ended up going to the main theater and cabaret each night, and I know my kids would love to do that again, so I'd love to hear thoughts about the shows. Thanks!

  3. A fascinating thread, thank you. I'm enjoying reading the differences between the two lines. We tried YC for the first time last spring and loved it. Unfortunately, we aren't able to make it work for our trip in March, but there's always next time. I'm looking forward to cruising consistently in YC and trying Explora someday. Thank you for your thoughts! 🙂

  4. Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a recommendation for an all-inclusive beach club day pass. For context, it's myself and my husband, both in our early 40s. We are looking for good food and drinks, clean facilities, relaxing, and great beach. We don't need it to be completely quiet, but aren't looking for a party either. I'd love to hear some of your experiences!

    Thanks!

  5. We are on Seashore next week. I'm really interested in seeing how many people will be on the ship with us. Selfishly, we are hoping for a lower capacity. I'm glad to hear that they are lightening up on social distancing a bit and we can sit at a bar to grab a drink.

Strange question, but how are the elevators? I know they have that new system. Are they crowded? Are the waits long?

Also, if you get a chance, could you post schedules and/or menus?

    Enjoy your cruise!!

It varies for larger ships like the Escape. Boarding has usually taken less than an hour but on our most recent cruise, we arrived around 1 PM had to wait outside for two hours since they were only using half the terminal and the building kept reaching full occupancy. NCL's new facility should be open by the time of your cruise, so hopefully you won't have to deal with this.

When did you cruise? Did they do anything differently for check in because of this virus? I read somewhere that they are checking passports page by page and was hoping to verify some of the additional screenings going on.

  7. We are doing a tour with Native Choice and getting back around 1, ship leaves at 5. I know we will want to have some lunch and then explore after we get back from the tour. Any suggestions where to eat? 2 adults/2 kids

    Hey there!

The balcony was slightly angled on the left side (smaller, not larger) due to the crew cabins on the left and how they are designed. Bed was by the balcony. We could see straight down to the water as well.

Cabin was very quiet under the salon and was really close to the forward elevators.

It was really convenient in the mornings when getting to the buffet and pool deck only one floor above us. But a pain in the butt when coming back from port (deck 4). We would just go to O'Sheehan and get something to eat until the crowd died down on the elevators.

Our cabin steward's name was Jonathan. If you have him, he is so great. Very personable and aiming to please.

We did run into the crew sometimes as their cabins were right beside ours on the other side of "crew only" doors, but they were super friendly.

We ended up really loving the location...Have a great time! I'm jealous!

I'm glad to hear this! We just got our room assignment and were given this room, too. We are considering bidding on a mini suite, but I'm happy to hear you liked the room.

All other dinner shows include a complimentary dinner. On our recent cruise on the Escape, 6 nights out of 7 had two complimentary dinner shows a night. We went to one comedy magic dinner show, one musical dinner show, and one Elton John tribute dinner show (all free).

What time were those shows? They sound fun!

Yes, lots more will open on boarding day.

We are driving to Miami on boarding day. Could I book reservations that open up on boarding day before I get on the ship or do I need to be on the ship to book those? I'm happy to use the app while we are in the car. 🙂

The Supper Club on the Escape offers complimentary dinner shows most nights, so it is actually better to wait until embarkation day to book those first, then book your specialty dining around your entertainment.

When I was reading about the Supper Club last night, it said that there's a per person up charge. So it doesn't sound like it's complimentary....??

Enjoy the ambiance in the Supper Club, our intimate theater experience featuring a variety of musical entertainment.

    Need To Know

A per person upcharge is applicable along with Dining Packages. For more information click here. A 20% gratuity and specialty service charge will be included at time of payment.
  12. Hi-

I'm wondering if anyone has stayed in the Super Family cabins- the connecting balconies? I'm interested in seeing the bed set up. I know the super family plus has two balconies and an interior. I've seen pictures of one balcony room, but I'm curious if the second balcony room is really just a sofa bed. Same thing with super family- they are connecting balconies, but I'm curious to see if the second room is also only a sofa bed.

    Thanks!!

  13. Thanks for sharing your experience. Can I ask what kind of floats kids had? Just getting my packing lists together!

My daughter had a puddle jumper on (a few other kids, too). I saw a couple of the pool noodles as well. Most of the kids would swim a bit and then hang out on the side

  14. In Europe pools are for swimming, not for standing. In the Netherlands 95% op all people (from 7 years old) can swim. In most countries in Europe the majority can swim...so it is logical, that you have deep pools.

That’s cool! I didn’t know that; thanks for sharing!

  15. Pools are 6'3 and 6'5 Miami and south beach pools. Kiddie pool is shallow but the sewer smell is horribe there.

I was on the ship last week and didn’t smell anything.

The pools are 5’3” deep and there is a shallow water “ledge” around all of them. The jungle pool has a small kid are in the back and the kid water park has a shallow (maybe around 2 feet deep) pool.

We loved the jungle pool. There was a lot of room and the pools felt small enough for the kids to easily swim across. Many kids had floats and goggles. I didn’t see dive sticks, but I’m sure they would be okay. The Miami Beach pool had a cool waterfall area in the back.

I know the pools depth got a bit of a bad review on here, and I was pretty worried about it before we went. I wasn’t sure what my kids would do! Anyway, it worked out great; I couldn’t get the kids out of the water!

Enjoy your trip; we loved it.
