Don't forget that all adults in the cabin have to order it too
I cruise for creme brûlée, lobster and warm chocolate melting cake!
I love lobster! What dining area can I order this?

Don't feel like you must drink 15 drinks a day... 5-6 alcoholic cocktails a day is the break even point as an average, so 15 drinks on 2 sea days plus 2-3 drinks a day the rest of the trip is more than enough. And that's not even including non alcoholic drinks.
If you are worried about hitting ur 15 drink limit (and remember that's only alcoholic drinks, coffees, waters, soda etc r unlimited) you can always buy a bucket of beer or bottle of wine along the way (not covered). Mini bar and room service isn't covered but people have mentioned that they will stop by bars on their way to the room and grab a bottle of water or a beer and request it not be opened to stockpile a few drinks for the room.

This sounds horrible but I'm actually thinking we may partake in more than 15 drinks a day at least once.
So we can get a bucket of beer for the pool side or our stateroom and this has nothing to do with Cheers and if we have already had the 15 drinks for the day?

They will shut you off at 15 alcoholic drinks and no you cannot purchase anymore after that.
The case of water and room service drinks are not included, but you can get the larger bottles of water from the bars which are included.

Reading all these comments and I am still at a loss of wether to purchase Cheers or not.
I'm younger and yes I can drink more than 15 a day everyday (don't judge). I don't mind drinking a few by the pool and getting some sun then drinks at dinner and drinks during evening entertainment. My BF and I like to dance as well and of course have more beverages. So, do they shut you off after the 15 drink a day or can you pay for drinks if you hit the limit? If we ordered a case of water for our room is this included in the Cheers program? Or any drinks we may order for room service? I'm just trying to get a better idea if it is worth the $ for us. Cruising in 9 days and our first cruise [emoji924]

The way to get around that, is change your settings on your phone to NOT automatically change time zones.
I turn mine to the "manual" setting at the start of the cruise, and then I change the time on the days we cross a time zone. When we return from the cruise, I reset it to the automatic time zone setting again.
Thank you!

I love all these tips! Just a few questions and I will be cruising on the Carnival Victory
Why does the cell phone not work as an alarm clock?
Does the tv have any "music" channels?
I am a big drinker and need a better idea if the Cheers is worth it. Do they shut you off from alcohol after the 15th drink? Yes I can drink more than 15 in a 12+ hour time period especially if I start the beverages pool side after lunch

Does the people whom you want to keep in touch with need this app as well? I'm going to assume they do? I have 2 children I would like to check in on while cruising and need to know how to do this without coming home to a terrible cell bill

We are not planning on attending the captains dinner but we are going to attend the scheduled dinner. Just wondering what we can/can't wear. What type of shoes are allowed? Any input would be appreciated

We are wanting to rent a car after we are done cruising and spending the day at Hollywood Beach then we fly out of FLL so will be taking the rental there to drop off. Not sure which car company to reserve with? We want one that provides a shuttle from the port and one that doesn't charge a lot. Suggestions? I see a lot of comments about tolls will we have a toll going from HBeach to FLL airport?

My husband and I are cruising for the first time for our honeymoon on the carnival victory. I've read a lot of threads about free things, tips and tricks. As well as secret areas (doorways) on the ships. Is there anything anyone could suggest for the Victory specifically?

I'm sorry jennyfur02 but I have to correct myself. After looking at the deck plan, Stateroom 8398 update has been completed. If you look at the deck plan, all staterooms from 8401 aft to 8427, then all aft facing cabins from 8433 to 8428, and from 8422 forward to 8254, which includes your cabin 8398 have been completed.

Do they seem to be working quickly? We are cruising in 40 days and our room is 8398

From what I have been reading they have been working on cabins during sailing(someone correct me if this is wrong). They were/are on deck 8 they have completed 1,2,6,7. If you go back to post 38-39 you will see how the updated rooms look.
I assumed they were working on the reconstruction during sail time? I have a room on deck 8 sailing out March 31 and hope that it's updated! Anyone that can validate this for me? Thanks in advance

Yes they started from the bottom up. So decks 1-7 are done. They are currently working on 8. Our room steward said that 8 should be done in 3 weeks and that they hope to have 9, 10, and 11 done by May. I don't know how reliable that information is but that is what he told me.
Do they have "beach towels" in the rooms to use when in port?

Can someone give me a "round about" idea how much a bottle of Busch/Bud beer costs and how much for a mixed drink. We are trying to get an idea of how much $ we will need just in drinks [emoji484]

I will be cruising the end of March and I am flying in and out of Fort Lauderdale. The day we return I have all day before my flight takes off.
What can I do with our "carry on" luggage while We hang out in Miami?
What is the cheapest way to get from the cruise to the airport?
Besides the beach what are some fun things to do before our flight?
