A piece of advice for my fellow cruisers. If you ever see anyone go overboard start throwing things that will float over board. Trash cans, life preservers whatever it may give the person something to help keep them afloat and also helps to mark the location of the incident.

When you get off the ship there is a gauntlet of shops to wind thru. Once at the exit ride the trolley for $3 pp to the beach area.

Lots of different beach clubs. Just make your way down the board walk til you find what you like.

I like the Tropicante, owner is a us expat. Hey sells local craft beer and has good food.

On a recent sailing on the Getaway we arrived at 0830 waited in the foyer till about 1030 check in time. Grabbed a group 1 boarding card, when getting to guest services they had about 8 two pass envelopes left.

I made the 1210 flight last year after cruise. That being said my in bound flight the day prior to embarkation experienced delays and we arrived @ 8pm instead of the planned 9am so did not have the time to explore Venice. Having learned from that experience on this year's trip on the Epic out of Barcelona I am flying back on Monday so I will be certain of some time to site see.
