I will be doing this itinerary the first week of October. Did you spend any time in the casino? How crowded? Comedy shows? Do you know who the comedians were?

I spent some time in the  casino prime time lots of people. Since the bar is no longer there an extremely long wait time to get drinks. Comedy show full crowds +18 shows. Line was all the way back to the casino on one show. I actually waited at the door for the end of the line to go inside and I was still able to get two seats with table almost in the front. So the lounge holds more people that I thought.

  2. May 15, 2017 sailing on the Vista.

    Vista Sails Sunday the 14th.

Will their be any time changes?

Yes, In Cozumel there will be -1 hour difference Central time zone UTC-6

Does the ship stay on Miami time or make adjustments?

    Yes, Eastern time zone UTC-5

So in Cozumel you need to remember that the Vista will be ahead 1 hour from the local time there. Cya you on the ship

  3. the 5 minute rule is for alcoholic AND non alcoholic drinks .

That was not our experience. Every bartender on our last Carnival cruise allowed us to get one alcoholic drink and one non-alcoholic drink at the same time, and they rang them up at the same time on one Sail and Sign card. They could not do 2 alcoholic drinks at the same time, however.

This is going to confuse so many. But the rules are clear.

    • Only one drink at a time may be ordered. Sharing is not permitted. Ordering a double shot would be considered ordering two drinks, therefore, you cannot order a double shot.
    • Program allows for unlimited Zero-Proof beverages but only one beverage at a time may be ordered - sharing is not permitted.
    • There is a 5 minute wait time between ordering drinks.

Consider yourself lucky if you get 2 at a time

  5. I know "Not another Cheers post "

I always read and search before I ask but this one I am pretty sure It has not been ask and would like to verify.

    • RedsFrog: beer sampler and both rum sampler.
    • Alchemy martini tasting
    • Havana Bar: "Cuban" sodas lol

    1. Are these included in the package ?

    2. If yes like the sampler/tasting would they consider that 4/5 drinks per?

Also I see that they have fresh squeezed orange juice in the Havana bar.

    3. Any where else they have fresh or bottle OJ or juices ?

I assumed in the MDR but looking for a place where I can pass by and pick one up to take with me like the water bottles.

Please don't say the buffet juice machines. I hate those. (n)

  6. Another price match!

    Price matched to: $50

    Price matched this:

    http://www.promoscozumel.com/passion_island_beach_isla_pasion_cozumel.html

Thank you. Great find I'll be using this. :D

Can you price match with another Cruise line ?

:) Confirmed, approve price match with that link.

:( But denied a different price match with a competitor cruise line on the grounds that it is only available to guest of that cruise line.

  7. I have been on 18 carnival cruises, the America Table menu is nothing short of cafeteria food! There are no table cloths on the table (not a big deal, just saying) mac and cheese, vegetable lasagna that's every nite food you eat Monday thru Friday at home!! I just got off an NCL no comparison!!!! Please Carnival re-think this "down home food" its not cruise material

    Wow serious...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

You joined in 2009 and for your first post 8 years later you revive a 1 1/2 year old post with nothing new to add. "18 cruise veteran"(n)

    please let this thread die.
