The Feb 5, 2022 cruise on Nieuw Amsterdam has been cancelled.

We were given the choice of moving the cruise to Rotterdam or cancelling for refund. We chose refund. After numerous cancellations ( through no fault of HAL), we aren't going to book again until this is over, if that ever occurs. I'm not anti TA, just like to make my own decisions.

I hope you can get it cancelled. That's the reason I don't use a TA. I like to be able to control my bookings.

I just received an email from HAL notifying me that the cruise has been cancelled. They have offered a replacement cruise on Rotterdam that is Western Caribbean with ports we have been to numerous times. Not interested and we'll be cancelling.

NA scheduled for 2/5/22 has also been cancelled. We have been offered a replacement cruise on Rotterdam.  It is western Caribbean with ports I've been to over and over again. Not interested, I will be cancelling.

We receive one about every week from HAL. Took advantage of one for February 2022.

I know it won't happen, but after 5 cruises cancelled (all booked well prior to Covid) I wish HAL would let you rebook at the original price and perks that were offered. I think after my April cruise is cancelled I'll request a refund. It will be a long time before I book again. All-inclusives are looking better and better.

We just booked Nieuw Statendam for April 2021 after having our two previously scheduled cruises cancelled.  We picked April hoping to avoid further disappointment. My thought being if HAL is not sailing by then they will not be able to survive. Wondering what my fellow HAL cruisers think?

We had our December cruise on Nieuw Amsterdam cancelled last week. Surprisingly, we have already received our refund for the cabana rental and various other things we had reserved. We haven't been issued the FCC yet but our TA said she would stay on top of it. We hope to book the same cruise for December 2021. HAL hasn't listed that far away yet. Our TA said she would stay on top of it. Fingers crossed 🤞

Now that MSC has announced their restart dates for Europe, I would like to hear your realistic opinions for restart of HAL and other US based cruise lines. I have no

confidence in the dates they are putting out.

We just booked a cruise for 2021 through our TA using FCC. The cruise fare was the same, but the TA said Carnival required a new deposit. She said the original deposit would be applied to the balance. Is this normal or did I get ripped off. She said I would get my original $200. OBC plus the $600 for the cancelled cruise on Breeze (not due to Covid). I paid it but I have a very uneasy feeling about this. Anyone have the same thing happen?

I'm booked on NA on December 5 out of port Everglades. I've been waiting for a similar announcement from HAL so we could move on with my planning. I talked to my TA who said HAL Is still booking cruises for October of 2020 (she just booked one for a customer). This is all very frustrating and not a good look for Holland America. I applaud Princess for making the decision now so their customers can move on.

We have been booked on NA 12/05/2020 for almost 2 years. 

I wish HAL would go ahead and cancel until sometime next year. I know it is not anyone's fault, but just tired of waiting for the inevitable.

We have a Dec. 2020 on HAL booked almost 2 year ago and a Feb 2021 on Carnival booked a long time ago as well. I was feeling pretty confident about them but now not so much. Looking forward to tomorrow's announcement to put me out of my misery one way or the other.🤞

We are booked on NA for Dec 2020 and plan to go. If all is well, we will book are next cruise while on board. We love cruising and hope to continue for years to come. And yes a safe vaccine will be a huge boost for the cruise industry and society as a whole.

Once a vaccine is available, I would think the Cruise lines would require proof of vaccination before boarding.

We had the pleasure of dining at Rudi's on Nieuw Statendam on our last cruise. The ambiance, service and food was delicious. Our next HAL cruise is on Nieuw Amsterdam. We are hoping that they may have Rudi's as a pop up on NA. Anyone have any info on this? Thanks.

Nieuw Amsterdam is a wonderful ship. The crew is top notch, the food is very good and the musical entertainment is varied and enjoyable. Relax and have a great time.

Any word on Koningsdam casino going smoke free? We are going on the 11 day cruise this November and are hopeful it will be smoke free by then.
