  1. I've been on the Equinox twice as Aqua Class. You'll have no problem ordering gluten-free items in Blu. Except for the first night, you'll place your gluten-free order from the regular Blu menu after dinner the night before to give the chef plenty of time to prepare.

Besides what people have already mentioned about gluten-free items, you can also order both savory and sweet gluten-free crepes in the Bistro ($5 charge), although prep-time will be longer than usual, unless you give them a heads up about eating there.

On our last cruise on the Infinity in Feb, I was able to get gluten-free cookies from Cafe al Bacio.

  2. OMG, I watched her, fast forwarded a lot of it and ended up turning it off after a few minutes. I didn't find her funny…at all, just obnoxious. Maybe if I were in my teens, I'm too far over that age :o

I think I would try this product if it weren't so expensive. I haven't used a curling iron in over 20 years, have never used a flat iron. I just use round brushes and a blow dryer. I think it would work for me if I just wanted a quick touch up or didn't blow dry my hair.

You're in luck. Price dropped to $60 for the holidays. See

  3. I like it a lot. I have short hair and would prefer a smaller barrel. I also wish it was dual voltage. I prefer it to my other stylers so I'll carry a voltage converter for use overseas.

My hair doesn't curl like they show on TV and in the videos, even with product in my hair, but it does give it more volume than my other stylers.

I bought mine at Bed Bath and Beyond and used the 20% off coupon and saved $20. I checked online to make sure the store had it before traveling there. When I didn't see it on the shelf I asked and they bought it out from the back.

  4. I agree GF has become a fad in the US, which has made it easier for those of us with an intolerance to find GF products, but many people don't even realize they have a gluten problem. Some Drs believe 95% of the people with GF issues don't even realize it. Either they have no symptoms at all or it manifests itself as other symptoms like joint pain, muscle pain, fatigue, etc. You also can be gluten sensitive or intolerant without being celiac.

I would love not to have a gluten issue. It would make traveling around the world so much easier!

I take the San-J tamari packets with me on all trips including cruises. I get my supply by ordering PF Changs gluten-free take-out. :) On my dive trips I take a bottle of the sauce to the resort chef. I wrap the bottle in bubble wrap and put it in a zip lock freezer bag in my checked luggage.
