Here are the dimensions of a typical HAL bed - not all verandah cabins are exactly the same, but most are. If you have one with an adjoining door or is ADA compliant it will be different. The Koningsdam is almost identical to the Rotterdam
This video shows the space under the bed around the 6 minute mark
Amazing info!

I assume that this is a common question, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. We are sailing on ms Rotterdam in a Veranda cabin. Is there space under the bed for two large suitcases? If not, where do you keep the empty bags?

We are sailing on the Rotterdam in Aug out of Amsterdam. I too would like to book the Thermal package. I was hoping for some sort of "10% off" sale or similar pre-booking, but I guess they just don't discount it.
Buy gift cards from AARP and use those to pay for your spa package. There is your 10% discount!

We are heading out on Rotterdam next week. The first couple of weeks shows a DJ poolside at some point during most days. It also shows the DJ doing some dance sets late at night in B B Kings.

Verifly was NEVER required. We sailed 3 times in 2022...never used it.
Did you still receive the email from HAL requesting you use Verifly prior to boarding? We are embarking next week and I received that email today.

Our upcoming cruise shows a DJ by the pool on many days and also doing some sets in B B Kings some nights.
-
There is a classical pianist listed as mainstage evening entertainment for a couple of nights on our upcoming cruise. I don't know if he will have any supporting musicians or not.
-
We have Club Orange for an upcoming cruise. Our boarding passes say, "Priority Boarding" on them. Did yours state that? Maybe it depends on the terminal?

HAL has offered a BOGO gift card offer during their anniversary. I've been waiting for them to post this offer, but it hasn't come up yet. In the past, it was a 10% bonus gift card. For example, a $1,000 gift card purchase would yield you a $100 bonus gift card. I keep checking their website and haven't seen this offer yet. Does anyone have the inside scoop on this?
You can get 10% off of HAL gift cards on the AARP website. This actually saves you a little more than getting a 10% bonus. Example - $1,000 for $1,100 worth of gift cards with bonus. $990 for $1,100 in gift cards with a 10% discount. It may not seem like much of a difference, but it adds up, especially on longer or more expensive cruises.

I am going on the Nieuw Amsterdam in June. I saw that my Health Assessment has disappeared from online check-in. Have other people seen that? Has anyone that has sailed in the past few weeks, noticed if they asked if you were vaccinated at the port? Were you asked any health questions at the port?
This cruise has standard protocols and I am asking about cruises that have standard protocols.
We have a cruise in a few weeks and ours has disappeared as well.

I have booked Movenpick Hotel because it is basically at the cruise port. You walk out of the hotel and it is right there. Also, my research shows that Uber and Bolt car services are available in Amsterdam. Both have apps available.

I found the lines to be very, very long at the Dutch cafe and explorations on the Koningsdam in November. I was lucky if it was only a 20 min wait. It didn't help that each person seemed to be getting a number of coffees each and not simple coffee that just get poured into a cup and done.
Maybe they should have separate lines for simple people?

I don’t think “everyone” was assuming that. I saw very little of that but maybe I glossed over that.
I am not specifically referring to this instance. I see it quite often on these boards. And, yes, "everyone" was an intentional exaggeration.

What gets me is that everyone always assumes that changes are negative. I enjoy change. Changes could bring better food (although I think HAL does pretty well), better entertainment, etc. I look forward to this new change and what it means to our upcoming voyage.

Why would a new menu being introduced keep you from making reservations?

If we have 3 people in our cabin, are the OBC charges drawn from a pool for our cabin or individually?

You have been TOLD? I am speaking from personal experience just back from the Koningsdam and I had club Orange. My statement is not inaccurate. The menu is the same as in the dining room except that it has Club Orange stamped on it and is prettier to look at. The waiter comes or the maître d’ and tells you what the club orange special is for the night and describes it and usually recommends it above what’s in the menu.
Yes, inaccurate, seeing as how your statement was: "Definitely an additional offering and often very good. You won’t get it if you go to the MDR."

I liked the interactive itinerary that HAL used to use, When you click on the next day of your voyage it would kind of plot out the route for that day. Can these be found anywhere?

It seems to me that the op's question has yet to be answered?

Unlimited apps, 1 entree. They'll let you rack desserts if you want to. Additional entree is another $10.
For which restaurant(s)?

Each person can order independently. The selection varies by the specific specialty restaurant. Did you have one in mind?
We have reservations at Tamarind, Canaletto and Pinnacle Grill.

Would anyone care to share the nature of the welcome back offers?

I have been on a few cruises, but have yet to partake in a specialty restaurant onboard. That is going to change this year! Does each person order one item from each section of the menu, much like the main dining room?

This is how I check. I used to get the emails but no longer for some reason. It requires a daily check.
Can't you sort by price after you clear the filters?

Go to the AARP website. Click on rewards, then all rewards. They sell gift cards at 10% off. There are $100 and $500 denominations. You can buy up to 5 total cards per month. They will be emailed to you within minutes. When you check out on the HAL site, the first payment option on the top of the page is gift cards. You can apply as many as you need.
