I don't understand the colors.  Blue Anchorage? Yellow Fairbanks?  I would pick an itinerary that included Denali Lodge for two nights and upgrade from the Natural history tour to the Tundra Wilderness tour (goes further into the park).  With two nights you will have a full day .  If you only have one night you travel to get there, have a few hours, stay overnight, next morning have a little bit of time and then you leave.  Not as good and tiring.

I agree. Two nights in Denali and upgraded Tundra tour. You really want that whole day in Denali.

  2. We have done the Off the Beaten Path land tour with Princess. We began in Fairbanks, two nights in Denali, one at Mt McKinley lodge and last was at Kenai Princess. We appreciated seeing the interior of Alaska first, it is so vast and must be seen to understand what this state is about. The cruise after (Voyage of the Glaciers) was relaxing and enjoyed ending in Vancouver.

Are you looking only to visit Chute Montmorency, or are you seeking a tour of the entire city that also includes a stop thereat? If the former, then use use route 800 of the Réseau de transport de la Capitale ("RTC"), www.rtcquebec.ca, for a very inexpensive excursion: 3.75 CAD per person each way, plus admission to the falls, 3.78 CAD for Québec residents, 7.57 CAD for others (all rates discounted for seniors). If the latter, then the "Countryside" tour inclusive of the falls is offered by Unitours, www.toursvieuxquebec.com: 74.70 CAD per person. Unitours also offers a round-trip bus to the falls only, admission included, for 29.90 CAD per person, as an alternative to using the RTC bus (but note this Bus operates much less frequently than the RTC bus, notwithstanding that the total cost is twice the price).

Note that the central city, including Vieux-Québec, is quite walkable, and paying for a tour is necessary only if one has mobility issues or if one wants to have sights pointed out and listen to commentary.

Is there a map available to do a walking tour by ourselves?

  4. I don’t have any status with Princess but enjoy the flexibility of choosing when and where to do our excursions. The trolley meets you at the pier and with the Duo ticket you choose which mansions to visit, not prescribed ones. For our cruise in October, we are in Newport from 7-5. Plenty of time to see the mansions at our own pace, walk the cliff walk and enjoy the town. One should choose what he/she is most comfortable with.
