Just an idea but could you take your normal 2 bottles on the first cruise, buy 2 more while on your cruise and then use those as your 2 allowed bottles for the Elation?

I am getting ready to book a cruise, kind of last minute.  Will someone be so kind and explain the "Free open bar" Norwegian promotes on their website.  Can you tell me what's included, what is excluded, are there hidden costs?  I have only cruised Carnival before and usually do purchase the Cheers program.  Can you compare there two?

Is the beach accessible without an excursion?

Maybe your cabin can only take 3 people.

Well, it is actually a 5 person cabin but I am sure they would not have added the 4th person in a 3 person cabin had that been the issue. I am just baffled.

I guess if worse comes to worse we will have it taken care of when we arrive. ugh

It just says : "How did end up here?" with a picture of the Red Frog Pub stating the technical depart has been notified and will work on the issue. This is day 6 of trying.

Try a different web browser or clear the history and cache of your current browser. It may be a cookie issue.

Already did that. The Carnival Rep also tried it multiple times.

I am a week out from cruising!!! Yay!!!! We completed our online check in months ago. We added a 4th person last minute. When I try to do their check in process, I get an error page. I called Carnival 2 times now and they are not able to add the information. I have seen where the online check in should be done the day before you cruise. Both times I called they said they have sent an email to the technical department and to try again in 48-72 hours. That both also said if I can't do it, I can do the check in once we get to the port.

Has anyone ever had the same problem? I can't be the only one. I am going to TRY not to worry about it but I like to have everything prepared for a quick check in and board process.

I sailed last May (2017) and LOVED her. I am sailing again the first week of May this year. If there is anything specific you want pictures of let me know and I will try to get them when we board. Looking forward to the dry dock upgrades! Half Moon Cay is like heaven on earth. If you enjoy a beach day, this is an island you do NOT want to miss.

What about water sports? Some reviews mention Kayaking? Is that included in the day pass rate? Looks to be $100 per day for adults with a $40 food credit.

Kayaks are included as is snorkel gear. Again, the kayak area is very small. You have to stay within the ropes in area. Google images and you will see the roped area. Good for kids but adults would enjoy more. Last May we paid 70 per adult and each got a 40 dollar voucher.

They have cookies, lemonade/water/something they call "tea". Usually the CD comes and sits in for a little bit.

This cruise coming up in May will be the first M&G I have signed up for. Is it just a room they open up to say hello to each other? After reading through this post, I just wonder what people are so upset over. I'm not imaging it to have drinks and snacks available but just a space to pop in and say hello to posters I've enjoyed reading. I like making new friends and I would think if there were people I met and had nice conversation with, we have an entire ship to grab and drink and continue a friendship. Am I wrong?

Ok I have a question? I want to get Cheers prior to boarding because of pricing. I believe we save $5 p/day which for a 14 day cruise its $70 savings p/person:D, or $140 for both of us. Now here is our issue if we order the Cheers package now we will have to pay for it at the final payment time (I think), and we want to pay for it after the cruise or with OBC. Is it possible to order Cheers now but pay later, or do you have to pay in advance in order to get the package for the $51.95 p/day?

You have to pay up front but not by final payment day. You can pay for this pre boarding up until 2-3 days before hand.

Is Snapchat included as part of the social wifi plan? There's a picture of it on the carnival website, but it is not listed as one of the apps you can access. :confused:

I used Snap Chat with the social plan last May without any problems. Enjoy your cruise!

How is the snorkeling here?

Snorkeling there is minimal. Not a lot to see in the roped off area.

We went there in May and had a great beach day!

My guess, would be those suites for 5 will not be available to a booking of 4 until very close to your cruising date if at all. They will not be willing to give up possible revenue by selling them this early to someone with 4 people when they can get 5. There aren't many of those cabins to start with so it may be too early. Maybe try back when it gets closer to your sailing date. Good luck.

It depends on the ship, time of year, destination, and how many are left the closer it gets to the sailing date. Just keep checking. If you are lucky enough and check often, you may catch a steal. Good luck.

I was on the Elation in May of 2017 for 5 days. Absolutely loved my cruise. I thought the size was perfect and the amount of people was just right. I came home and booked her for the 7 day this May. I am super excited to sail on her again. The upgrades will all be added bonuses.

We were told that we would be headed to snorkel the "wall". Now when someone tells me "wall" I just instantly freak out. Remember Sakari hanging out over the wall in Curacao when we went scuba diving? Yea, walls completely freak me out. So I was definitely making sure that Sakari was keeping her life jacket on.

 

It looked to be getting deeper over that way.

 

 

 

 

There were places to the left of us that were fairly shallow. To the right...was the "wall"

 

 

They kept motioning us to move out...as in toward the wall and away from the shallow coral. No, no, no, I don't want to go that way.

I am so excited to read another review from you. I'm going to tell you as soon as I saw it, I thought about the scuba trip and the wall.
