  1. Can anyone who's been on the island or Curacao, Grand Turk or Aruba advise me on where we could find a stand/restaurant/food truck that sells fresh coconut water out of the coconut? It's on my bucket list, and would love to be able to find somewhere.

    Thanks in advance!

  2. I knew someone would know! I think the OP wants to go to Steakhouse because it's their anniversary the lst night. Not sure if they would want to go another time during the cruise. But that's something to remember!

You would be correct. Not too worried about being able to change the day, mainly the time.

Thanks for all of your responses!

  3. IDK about that. But I DO know that you can make reservations on the CCL website. I believe there's a place for you to contact the reservation person at the steak house. You can always ask her before you commit yourself. Also take into account what time your sail away is in case you want to do any of those activities. Altho I don't think we have ever set sail at the posted time! What ship are you sailing?

We'll be sailing on the Conquest. Our scheduled sail away time is 4pm, so we will probably do a late dinner (8 or 8:30) to give us time to unpack and walk around the ship. I saw on the CCL website where you can make reservations but wanted to make sure we could make changes if we needed/wanted to, before I did.

  4. You could ask for a splash guard to have in place if the tables are too close, this offers extra privacy.

    KIDDING!

Check out the upper floor available on some ships. Great seating around the rail overlooking the lower level. Great view and private.

What?! A splash guard? I'll make sure to remember to ask! [emoji6][emoji23]

  5. I'm assuming your anniversary is not the lst night of your cruise. So just take a "tour" of the dining room sometime before the big night and make a notation of the tables you would prefer. Then when you check in with the hostess, ask if those tables are available. If you really have your heart set on a certain table, I would get there as soon as the doors open and be one of the lst on line. Have a great cruise and Happy Anniversary!

Yes, our anniversary IS the first night of our cruise. We've been talking about possibly doing the steakhouse. Because you pick a time for that, do you sit by yourselves?

  6. Do you have Anytime Dining? DH and I always get a table for 2 when we arrive at the dining room each evening. Before they had Anytime Dining, we just asked the maitre'd the first night for a table for 2 for the whole cruise and always got it. We have been Platinum members for many years, so maybe that made a difference.

Yes, we have anytime dining. So does that mean we will most likely get a table for 2? Thanks for your response!

  7. I've read in previous threads about people who have emailed the maitre d' requesting a specific table, i.e.; table by a window, two person table, etc. Has anyone done this, and how do you get the email for the maitre d'? The first night of our cruise will be mine and my DH's anniversary and we would like to dine privately if possible.

    Thanks in advance!

  8. Not sure why anyone uses either unless there is a discount. I use gift cards because I buy them 10% off, otherwise I just use a credit card. Is there some benefit to cruise cash that I'm missing?

Im assuming with cruise cash, I can purchase it online (on Carnivals website) with a debit card and wouldn't be subjected to any 'holds' by Carnival as opposed to using my debit card to load my S&S card on the ship on embarkation day.

    Experienced cruisers, is that correct?
