  1. We are looking at going on RCC Adventure of the Seas but there are no HA cabins avaiable.

Has anyone taken a reguar cabin... how cramped was it?  Specifically on this ship would be an inside promenade stateroom which looks tiny.

i will add thAt I have some mobility issues with walking hence the need for the scooter on the Ship, but I can walk unassisted as needed not long distances and can manage shower/tub etc.

Do you think this this could work or we should look for a different voyage?

All thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

  2. … The good, the perfect, the ugly.

We have sailed from NYC the past two years on NCL, and although there are things we like and things we disliked we had enjoyable times.  We simply love leaving from NY but do not want to revisit Bermuda and are considering one of the voyages that go further South this year on the Dawn.  Our concern, is the ship is older and we have seen/read some not so nice comments.

So tell me what you know?  Have you been on the Dawn recently what did you think.  As a reference point we have been on the Breakaway and the Escape for NCL.  (truth be told we are avid Disney cruisers, and we have also done Royal and Holland America).  We will be sailing with 3 15yrolds so anything that might be of interest for them on the Dawn would also be helpful... is there enough to hold their interest?

Oh, please also share your thoughts on Great Stirrup Cay - How is tendering - is it difficult for one with some mobility issues?  How do the Cabanas work - are they costly and are they difficult to get to?

    Thanks in advance.

  3. Hi All,

Its been years since we have sailed on Royal - we have been devoted Disney cruisers for  many years and have also snuck in a few NCL cruises but this year we are looking at Royal on Harmony of the Seas.

So please share with me your thoughts, good, bad, ugly, and perfect about Harmony.  Also, I am very interested in knowing about drink packages and pricing, dinning packages and in general what upcharges we could expect.  We would be sailing with 3 15yr olds and I suspect that many or the activities also have upcharges?

Enlighten us and help us make a smart decision!

    Thanks in advance!

  4. Hi,

Some nights Shakers has a piano player singer, but if I recall correctly she was always finished by 10 or 11. Not a very loud place and not very big. It's an open area, somewhat of a cut-out from the main walkway. We spent an hour or two there every night this past July.

    Enjoy your trip!

  5. Thank you for posting all this helpful info. I will be traveling with a group of 15. Some of us are interested in doing Canvas By U. Where exactly would we go to sign up? Thanks

    Hi Dayana,

If you look at the Daily from the 1st day around 4:30 you can see the sign-up time and I think it said in the Library. It is right after the lifeboat drill it seems.

    Hope this helps.

  6. Thank you so much for posting the dailies and all the pictures!! We sail in the next month and this is very helpful!

Can you let us know how much the painting session is and how much time is allotted - it looks like so much fun!

    Thanks again and enjoy!
