I'm a first time DCL cruiser as well, sailing the Dream May 15th. My youngest will be turning 3 a day after we disembark. I will be using the nursery for our adult dining dinner date and even though I haven't been on the ship I'm already super comfortable. It got rave reviews from my boss and a couple friends. I think in terms of safety you will be fine, however it will be more about how your kid responds. My little one is in preschool and has an older sibling so he's very sociable and doesn't get to anxious when we're not around. However I am slightly worried he'll be upset about not being able to go to the kids club with his brother.
Good luck!

no worse than your wearing a shirt from another cruise line
and I see that all the time
folks proudly saying, "I've cruised more than you"
don't worry about it
Now this is hilarious!

Is it rude to wear swimwear with a Universal character theme? I just got my little one the cutest super man swim shorts and top. We cruise the Dream in May and it didn't even dawn on me until it arrived in the mail that it's a Disney competitor. They did also have Captain America but he had that set last year so I was just going for something different. He does also have Cars (hand me down from big brother) and some that are more generic.
Laugh at me if you want but I don't want to offend!
Kids clubs for 3 year old
in Disney Cruise Line
Posted
I just got off the Dream Friday. My 7 year old loved the kids club. My younger son turned 3 this past Sunday so he wasn't able to use the kids club - they are very strict w/ age requirements however from what I observed during the limited times I was allowed in the area, he would've done fine. I only say this because he has an older sibling so he's a bit more independent and comfortable in that type setting. He spent a little time in the nursery and he was fine there as well, said he had a great time.
I think an early 3 year old with no older siblings might struggle some, but like a previous poster said it really depends on the kid.
