Yes, you will get an itemized bill on the last morning.
Ultimately, there should only be one charge on your credit card. The daily authorizations should disappear.
Thank you!

We are on the last day of our Oasis sailing. I see a long list of charges on my credit card tied to my sea pass and am wondering if we will get an itemized receipt on the debarkation day?
-
We will be sailing on Oasis next week and first stop is Bahamas. So far I found either Melia or Hilton resort day passes that seem to fit the bill. My husband and I have a 24 months old and a teenager. I am thinking of a relaxing beach day for the toddler and myself and hubby and teen son go out for some water activities such as snorkeling.
Which day pass would you recommend?

So far I am looking at booking the snorkeling without RCI. It seems though most vendors accept credit cards for payments, but require additional cash for some misc. things like fuel, food, gratuity, etc. Just wondering how much people usually take with them on these types of activities?

We are going on Oasis tomorrow and our ports are Bahamas, St Thomas and St Maarten. Do most excursion vendors accept credit cards? Or do we need to bring hundreds of cash with us?
-
Bob, do porters make the tags with sticky backs or something? That would be easier than printing and making my own tags and having to tape it or staple it.
-
Do porters at the pier have tapes I can use to tape the tags, or do I need to bring my own packing tape? :o
Going on Oasis this Sunday and I realized I should have just bought some tag holders from Amazon. Too late for that. Oh well - live and learn.
-
This perhaps is a silly question but I am curious what most people do. Do you leave your irreplaceable valuables at home (wedding rings come to mind) or wear them on the ships?
-
This thread makes me very nervous. We are going on Oasis this coming Sunday and I didn't purchase travel insurance. I assume if we do incur medical expense on the ship, that we can get that reimbursed through our health insurance. Anyone had trouble getting reimbursed from their regular (not travel) health insurance?

You don't select any option. I believe right above the section that you quoted there is a statement that is something to the effect of "non-US credit card holders" check the preferred box below.
As you are in the US with a US credit card you do not have to do anything.
Thank you!!!
I went back and took another look. Sure enough - it does not even apply to us. I should have paid more attention!
-
Thanks! Looks like I should stick to option B. Thanks again.

I noticed these 2 checkboxes on my SetSail pass. Pros and cons of either? I am using my credit card to fund the expense account.
- I choose to pay my onboard charges in the currency of my card. I choose to use Royal Caribbean International's currency conversion program. This currency conversion transaction is based on wholesale exchange rates collected from Bloomberg plus a 3 percent international currency conversion fee. My choice to have charges billed in the currency of my card is final. I accept that the exchange rate used will be the rate in effect at the time the amounts are charged to my card.
- I choose to have my credit card issuer convert my onboard charges to the currency of my card in lieu of participating in the Royal Caribbean International currency conversion program.
Thanks.

Following. We will be sailing on Oasis next Sunday!

Wow, I didn't expect so many great responses! Thanks guys!

We are going on Oasis next month and the ports are Nassau, Charlotte Amalie (St. Thomas) and Phillipsburg (St Maarten).
Hubby and teenage son want to book a snorkeling excursion. Which location has the best snorkeling spots? Would love to hear from experienced cruisers.
Thanks!

St. Thomas, perhaps Coki beach since it is directly next to Coral World Ocean park. There is lots of shade and it is similar to an aquarium both in set up, cost etc. Plus you can spend a few hours at the beach. There are tons of cabs to and from the port so that's a nonissue.
For St. Maarten, hmm, maybe Maho beach to see the planes land. There is a beach grill there. The beach is a bit slim and it can be packed. Also, the planes may be scary or very cool (they will be loud and windy). There are lots of cabs there so transportation is easy. Marigot on the French side has a nice walking area with lots of shopping stalls, drink stands, and I believe there is a public beach there (double check though). This is where you should go for a taste of the island food.
Nassau is the easiest, day tickets to Atlantis. It's well maintained and commercial, but your little one will enjoy the shark tanks, sting rays, etc. Plus there is air conditioning in the buildings.
Thank you so much!

Thanks for all the replies! Very helpful. I think I will check it out but more likely than not I will skip onboard booking. I myself don't care for less deposit either.
-
Thanks. I booked through Costco Travel and from what I see, there is always some sort of onboard credits or cash card offers there. So I guess it kind of evens out - with the exception of less deposit.

I noticed many folks on this board talk about booking next cruise on board a current cruise. I am wondering if most find that booking on board ends up being the best price-wise?
Thanks.

Just curious because my husband, teen son and myself all love sushi.
Is there a menu for WJ?
-
Bear in mind RC only allow you 1 bottle each on embarkation.
love sailing with RCCL
Hmm...I thought it is 2 bottles of wines per cabin? We have 2 cabins so we could bring up to 4 bottles (not that I want that many)?
-
I think Publix and Target are pretty equal in what they offer but Walmart has a bad, bad selection!
Sherri:)
Got it! lol
-
Thanks - good to know! So Walmart is scratched off the list, I definitely want some nice wine for sipping on the balcony!
-
Wow. None of these stores is allowed to carry wine or alchohol where we are (Massachusetts). Some of the grocery stores here don't even have them. Interesting how the rules vary from state to state.
Do you get an itemized receipt for onboard spending?
in Royal Caribbean International

I didn't know about the TV! We probably turned it on once for 5 mins this entire trip! Thanks for that tip!
