Hi all, 1st time cruiser on HAL. Doing the Grand Asia in Oct on the Amsterdam. One of the bennies we received was 300 minutes per person of internet. Do they issue one sign-on per person or one sign-on per cabin? Searched the HAL board and found lots of info on prices and speed but little info on whether both my wife and I can be on at the same time. Thx in advance!

I'm a first time HAL also on the Grand Asia. How did you get the Internet benefit?

Is there any advantage to buying the internet package before the cruise? If I wait until I'm onboard I can use my OBC to purchase the internet package, correct?

A question about My Time dining. Per the web site if you select My Time dining you pay Prepaid Gratuities. Are these extra fees or just paid in advance instead of at the end?

If a guy is on a long cruise and can't find a haircut place in port, I assume he can get a haircut on the ship. Any ideas how much? Thanks

Usually a ton of taxis when you dock.

The tour is for the second day. Will there be taxis around the terminal early (6:30am) in the morning the day after the cruise ship docks or must I make arrangements the first day when the ship docks.

I've heard ms Amsterdam will be docking at White Bay in Sydney. I've booked the Sydney Opera House Backstage tour and must be at the Opera House early, at 6:45am. Will there be taxis around the cruise terminal that early or must I make special arrangements?

I am also going my first HAL cruise on the Amsterdam doing the Grand Asia this fall. I have heard many good things about the food both to quality and quantity. Given my love for eating, I wonder if there is a set of scales for folks to weigh with. I plan to walk the decks, walk the stairs, do lots of tours but it seems people talk constantly about the food and knowing me, I will partake of a lot of it over the 80 day cruise. Are there scales? I really will need the incentive.

I'm going on the October 2017 Asia Grand Voyage, my first HAL cruise. When onboard, how good are the future cruise deals? Right now HAL is offering a deal for the July 2018 34 day round trip (but with a non-refundable deposit). Might a onboard deal be better? Yes, I understand it's a crap shoot of what future prices will be, I'm just trying to tweak the odds. Thanks, Michael
