  1. Get on the water taxi which stops at the Hilton Marina and you can go a lot of different places. We go to 15 th Street Fisheries and its awesome. You can ride the water axi as much as you want you can bring your own drinks on it and it has a great route for sight seeing or even go shopping or the beaches. I had a coupon in Dec for Bogor from the website.

  2. Well that's a given Lol.

Meaning what happens if I lose my room and now have to reschedule everything? Do I get the same price I was locked in at? Or am I going to have to pay more because they canceled?

They have 6 sailings they are offering the same rates on and are giving OBC when you reschedule. If you book any other sailing it's at the prevailing rate

  3. I got what I think is a pretty good rate for the ES with this programme. Two nights in December for a total of 246 USD, that's including tax.

Do they have free parking while your on your cruise and a shuttle to the port? Do you know how far it is from the water taxi?

  4. I am looking for a hotel close to the Port and water taxi. We plan on going to Ft Lauderdale 2 nights before our cruise and spend the day before riding on the water taxis. We had so much fun one night riding them when want to spend more time on them. We'll be there on Black Friday (Nov 29) Cruising on Dec 1. Any ideas?
  5. We were also on the May 10th cruise. It was our 10th anniversary. We had a wonderful time but I would agree the service was 't as good as the other ships we've been on. I guess we were spoiled on the Monarch.

We saw our room attendant once, on the first night. Our waiter wasn't the greatest, but we still had a good dinner. We went to Chops the first night service was good my husbands filet was good my strip steak so -so. My husband tried to wear shorts and they wouldn't let him in. He had to go back to the cabin and change.

We used the Diamond lounge and the concierge was good, service so-so. A lot of the times the waiters were sitting at a table and you had to call them over. Drinks were strong. The food area very small. Had the best chicken wings. They weren't breaded like they usually are. They also had an area of the Viking crown roped off for D and D+.

We never did go to any of the shows.

Kelly at the piano in the Schooner bar was awesome. He grew a great crowd. We spent most of our time after dinner there.

Park Café was good, can't beat the roast beef sandwiches. Wish they were open when we were at CoCo Cay. But they are open for dinner and late snacks.

We actually saw the glass roof open in the Solarium. It's been awhile since I've seen that.

We had a great bartender, JR, at the Solarium bar.

Loved that they had hand out deck plans and general info available.

We had an inside cabin on deck 3. I had no problems with it, actually slept better than I usually do. Even my husband who is normally up at 5:30 slept till 7-7:30. I think it was because when we have a ocean view or balcony he always leaves the drape open a crack.

We had a wonderful time and will do it again.

  6. Of course you see some strange things at The Quest on RCCL but the one night really sticks in my memory! At the end when the teams are supposed to dress one of the guys as a woman the young highly intoxicated girl in front of me took off her pants, then her thong, and put the thong on her team mate! Then on another team a woman in her 70-80's took off her pants and was walking around in a shirt and her granny panties. And a a middle aged woman took off her dress and was just wearing her husbands suit jacket.

On the Monarch last year they were a few groups that did starnge things. One was a group of Xray tech who had a blow up doll they brought to dinner every night dressed up.They took pics with him doing shots eating etc.

There also was a group who brought a life size blown up photo of one of their friends who couldn't make the cruise. They took it off ship in Nassau and took pics with him everywhere they went. Even Senor Frogs!

Then there was the group who on the last night in the dinning room dressed up from the 70's and gave out awards, like the one who puked first, passed out first, etc.

Needless to say it was a interesting cruise!

  7. We ooked Gerry for a tour last Nov and it was grear. Our ship arrived in Cozumel earlier than planned since we couldn't be tendered into Grand Caymen and when we got off the ship about 1/2 or so earlier than we needed to meet up with him he was already there waiting for us!!

We didn't stop at CoConuts for drinks since our friend couldn't walk up the stairs but we did tour the wild side of the island and stop at the tequila factory. They don't make tequila there but we did sample some great tequila. The place Gerry stopped for shopping was just a little roadside stand we weren't too impressed with it. We really just wanted to see more of Cozumel than just the main shopping areas and this was a great way to do it.When we first got in the van he brought out the map and asked what we wanted to do ,and he recommended some places so we just let him go.We stopped at El Mirada and he even found shells and coral for us he thoguht we'd like!!

I would definitly recommend him for a tour.

  8. I think the whole point of hiring a driver would be to see the wild East side of the island. Personally, I'd just skip the shopping and spend my time at Coconuts or Chen Rio. Do the ruins tour first, stop at Coconuts for lunch and bring a t-shirt for the ceiling. Then if you want you can stop at Chen Rio for a swim. After that, continue south around the southern tip if the island then back up to PB.

How long do you think it would take to do all that?? We are booking a van for just 4 of us since none of us are average sized!! Our one friend is about 6'4" and 300 lbs, so I don't think a little station wagon would be confy. They have been to Cozumel many times and we have 3 times. We wanted to do something more than shop and Carlos and Charlies.

  9. I just got an email from Mike,He gave me the price as 60.00 for the station wagon which will hold 4 average adults or 180.00 for a van holding 8 adults. He said Gerry would have to rent the van thats why the increase in price. He did send links to places we might like to go to.

As soon as we talk to our friends we will probably book with Gerry.
