  1. We are trying to plan our next cruise on the Allure of the Seas but we are unsure about what choices to make. Originally we were thinking about cabin 11528 - ultra spacious ocean view and 11531 ocean view. But our TA just suggested three cabins, 7524,7526 and 7528, ocean view for the same price. I can only find one review on the cabins on the 7th deck and I read that there is a workers bench outside the window and workers can look into the cabin at any time. So... we are trying to decide which choice would be best for us. Family of 6' the 'kids' are 20, 17, 15, 15 years old. Thanks 🙂

You select the sailing, and then the room type (Interior, Ocean View, etc) Once you select the room type you'll see the available cabins. For example, this is what I see for the February 7th, 2021 Harmony of the Seas Ocean View cabins:

Ok - thanks. I thought there would be a difference in the price. I have been reading up a lot on the studio cabins and was under the impression that they were somewhat cheaper than a room for 4 pers. Thanks again.

Not from personal experience, but I would expect that when you enter only one guest, that should automatically provide studio choices, should they be available.

If you mention the sailing dates you are considering, I'll bet Ken can take a look at the travel agent website and confirm availability (or lack thereof).

It's possible they were snapped up as soon as bookings opened.

Thank you. That is probably what happened. Would you know what the process would be to book a studio? Is that an option in the drop down box? I have not been able to find it anywhere yet.

Harmony has 3 studio interiors and 12 studio ocean views. Are you looking for either of those room types?

Yes any of those will do. I am  just not sure how to find them online. There is no studio choice when reserving online.

I have read here that those "studio" staterooms go very fast, so it's not surprising that you're not seeing them available.

Yes, I have read that too. But I am looking at something two years down the road...

  8. I just found out that the Harmony of the Seas has solo cabins. Does anyone have experience with these cabins? Does anyone know how to go about booking them? I have tried to book, choosing one cabin, one person, and I am directed to a regular cabin for up to 4 pers. This is a frist for me, so any advice will help. Thanks

  9. How much did this cost? I am looking for something for my four friends to do while in port in March. Our other port is NCL's private island so we don't have to worry about spending much while there so we can do a little more here.

We paid 70$ per person. Snorkelling équipement was included and very clean. Refreshments were included. The gentleman took photos of us and shared them on Facebook for us to enjoy. He was very observant of the time so that we never lost track of time. Well worth it.

  10. I was thinking of getting a resort day pass but we are there for such a short time, that I don't feel it's worth it. Our ship arrives at 7am and departs at 1pm. My boyfriend has never been to the Bahamas before, I have been three times. I remember the area around the ship isn't so great and when I've gone there before it was many many years ago to Atlantis when it wasn't so popular and then the other times to swim with dolphins. Am I missing something that could be fun? Is Atlantis even maybe worth it just to walk around?

We were there last week, from 8:30-2:30, also a short day. We were planning a beach day at Junkanoo but after speaking to someone at the port we decided to charter a boat. This turned out to be our best port day! Our captain was wonderful as he took us around showing us the sights, and then we spent an hour snorkelling. After snorkelling he brought us to a private island for another hour of beach time. He kept a close eye on the time and made sure that we were back at the port with more than enough time to shop and make it back.

  11. True, both photo operations and all of the merchandise shops onboard are third-party contract companies.

I have heard that it's a third party too. However, The prints and digital photos were being delivered to the photo coulter by RC employees around midnight and there was so much of a disaster that I even saw a frazzled RC employee running with a photo bin, and he ended up tripping and falling. My concern right now is how to request a refund for the digital cd I was double charged for (many guests also paid photos too that were never delivered). It's exasperating

  12. I just returned home from my 'first, most amazing, beyond my wildest dreams' cruise. I cannot yet express the wonderful time we had (thanks to Cruise Critic for all the advice, answers, etc). The only issue we had was with the professional photos and I was wondering if this is a reoccurring issue, or just unique to this specific voyage. I was not the only one with a major problem, there were several people who were upset, angry and totally discouraged, I am wondering how this could have even happened on such an organised ship? Since the photos could only be ordered on the last day, when I went to place my order, photos were missing from my binder, missing from my folio on the kiosque and I was not able to process my order at all (they kept telling me to try a different kiosque). When I finally had an attendant place my order at front desk he said that there were 2 orders processed and he 'hoped' I would be credited for one of them I was told to return at 11:00pm for pick up, I stayed until midnight and still could not pick up my CD. I went back at 6:30 AM as I was told and by 7:30, people were yelling, in tears and fighting because their photos were lost, or paid for and not delivered. I had never expected to witness such incompetency on this ship. I was travelling with 2 other families, and we all had similar issues, as well as the many other people I spoke with in the line ups. And, as luck would have it, I was never credited for the CD that I was charged double for. I am wondering if anyone else has ever experienced something like this?

  13. Probably a silly question but did you notice anyone eating alone in the Main Dining Room ? We are a large party, sailing on Sunday, but now all the kids are starting to complain about having to dress decent and will likely want to just grab pizza or something simple. So their parents will likely eat with them. I, on the other hand, am looking forward to some fine dining but I won't go alone if it's that rare.

  14. If you have an airport transfer with the cruise line you will place the luggage outside the room the night before you get off the ship and it will be on the pier when you get off the ship. You will collect it and go through immigration and if in the USA customs and then you will collect it when you get off the vehicle.

Please keep in mind that some airport do not allow you to check in luggage early. That varies by airport.

    Questions.

What ship are you disembarking and at what port and what airport are you going to?

  15. We are sailing out of Port Canaveral on Sunday and we are meeting 2 other families and vacationing together. Where is the best place for us to meet ? Is it feasible to think we can meet at the port,

or better to assume we should just wait until our cabins are ready ?

  16. Nine of us will be sailing on the Oasis of the Seas in 3 weeks, all first time cruisers, and I am getting nervous and feeling overwhelmed, so this board has been awesome! A few questions. Would it be wise to bring a few snorkel sets or is it better just to rent them as needed? Are we allowed to bring snacks from the restaurants back to the cabin, just to have odd snacks on hand with so many kids? Thanks! Any and all advice is welcome!

  17. We bookedthe Cruise Day Pass at the British Colonial Hilton for $60 each in advanceon-line (saved $5). We visited Nassau on June 24 and booked the passes the daybefore the cruise on June 21 to confirm it would be beach weather with no rain.We awoke early so we could start the day at 9 am. We walked from the ship andchecked in at reception and then headed to the beach area to get chairs alongthe water under an umbrella. Only a few hotel guests were enjoying the beachthis early. We put our $40 food/drink vouchers that come with each adult daypass to good use for lunch (about $20 each) and drinks ($7 beer and $14 mixeddrinks), not including 7% tax and a 15% service charge. Another thread (can’t remember which one) has a picture of the food/drinkmenu. The kayaks and paddle boards are free to use, you sign the paddles for themout and back in at the towel hut. Wewould definitely do this again visiting Nassau if the weather forecast is good.

This sounds perfect. I've heard about people waiting and buying their day pass right at the hotel on port day. I checked online and passes are 79$ in advance now. Still a good deal but the extra 19$ per person adds up with a group of 9 people.

  18. This is my first time on a large ship & I'll admit that I'm feeling very overwhelmed at having to book my dates and times for shows. On all my previous cruises it has been the simple - you eat early you go to the show late format. Having to select which night to see which show at what time seems daunting to me.

How do you approach the process of planning out what to see when? How do you make sure you have time to see them all scheduling them around your meal times? How do you know how long the shows will be so that they finish up in time to make your 8 pm dinner (or when your 8 pm dinner will finish so you can see the late show)?

Any tips would be appreciate so I can relax and enjoy the planning process. I check the web-site daily to see if it's "time" to book them yet.

I feel the same way! Overwhelmed! And I'm trying to coincide 3 families which is almost Impossible. For example when I choose dining for one cabin, the earliest dining time is 5:15. When I go into my profile to choose dining, my only choices are 5:00 or 5:30. I just want to make sure we can all have dinner together. There are 9 of us. Royal Caribbean has not been able to help me with this.
