  1. So the 10 minute restriction shouldn’t be to much of an impediment with wine.  Just keep those 150mls coming very 10 minutes.  For G&Ts, order the Fever Tree first, wait 10 minutes and order a 2oz gin on the rocks.  LOL.  Be strategic.

     

    On my last crossing.  One Fever Tree would handle two gins on the rocks.

  2. Here is a link to the current drinks package.  The limit is increased to $12 per drink and the wait time is reduced to 10 minutes.  Alcohol is served in one ounce, but it looks like you can double to 2 ounces if $12.00 or under.

    Each adult assigned to the same stateroom must purchase the Beers, Wines & Spirits Option. Sharing of the Option is not permitted.
    All Drink Options are only available on voyages of five nights or more, available for purchase on the first two days of the voyage and must be purchased for all remaining days of your voyage.

    Alcoholic drinks are limited to a total of 15 beverages per 24 hour period (6.00am to 6.00am).
    Minimum purchase age 18. Age limits for service or purchase of alcohol depend on the applicable law of different ports of call.

    Wine will be served in 150ml measures and spirits will

  3. What you will get in Queens Grill accommodation and dining are the following (there may be some I don't remember):

    A larger suite at 500 square feet and up

    A butler who will unpack your bags and repack them if you desire

    Provide you with complementary wine and or spirits

    Serve you dinner en suite with the evenings QG menu if you choose

    A concierge who can make travel arrangements, print out boarding passes for flights, and make reservations for dining in the ships specialty restaurants. The Concierge lounge also has coffee, tea and pastries in the morning, and newspapers and is on nine deck, mid ship as most of the QG suites are also on nine.

    The Concierge will provide you with custom personalized stationary to use on board to to write to friends ashore.

    In the Queens Grill restaurant you will have a daily menu, and an ala carte menu and you can order off menu with usually a half day notice, and the staff with endeavor to fulfill your request is the goods are on board.

    You will share the Grills lounge across the hall from the QG restaurant with Princess Grills passengers. You can take tea in the afternoon if you wish.

    You will also share the Grills Terrace on eleven deck aft with Princess Grill passengers loungers, two hot tubs, and staff that will bring you refreshments.

    Plus when you are having lunch/dinner in the Princess or Queens Grill restaurants, you get to stare at the lower class passengers walking by outside on the deck.

    I had my first TA crossing last June in an outside Balcony cabin on Deck 11. Had an amazing time! Doing another one in January.

  4. @frankp01... Not really my business, but I thought I would point out that this thread is for a past December, 2015 TA crossing. Just wanted to make sure you knew. Happy cruising!

     

    Haven't actually booked yet, but the two of us will be on back-to-back TAs: outbound on 8 Dec and returning on 15 Dec. We'll be part of the Pied Piper group on the 15th...booked through them when we did TA in 2012, and we enjoyed the group activities.

     

    I also recommend the Spa pass. I think we sprung for the 5-day pass, because we were just too busy the first and last days to take advntage of it. But the days we did use it, we well got our value's worth.
