Hi there,
I think it can be an antigen test also for unvaccinated which is cheaper than a pcr. We’re going on Seascape in November and although msc don’t require you to be vaccinated or tested when we arrive in Spain we will need to provide a negative lft result. It’s all rather confusing. Good luck

Thanks so much OceansofTravels that's so helpful! I think we want to do Pompeii and Vesuvius, not sure if you can do them both but if we can we will do our own trip. Sounds like you had a fab time!

Thanks for the info Hamrag.

I agree with you Hank about the loyalty thing, I just don't get that. I wouldn't choose a cruise because of loyalty incentives.

OceansofTravels we are doing this itinerary in October so we would be grateful about any info about the ports of call. We generally like to make our own way but would welcome your input. Thanks in advance. look forward to any photos you have also.

Yes we are buying the deluxe drinks package but I read somewhere that the tips are 15 euros pppd. The info on their website isn't very clear, even when my husband phoned MSC about the drinks packages we were given different advice from different people. Bit strange really.

Sounds fantastic! Can't wait to go now and that will be one of our trips for sure. Thanks so much you've been really helpful. Having only done one cruise before and not with MSC it's good to get advice from those who have.

Wow how beautiful! We will def do that one. Can you do that yourself or is it a ship-organised one? Thanks for sharing those.
-
Ok thanks for that martin, I think we will probably do our own thing as we did on our last cruise. We want to do some trips but also want to spend plenty of time on board making the most of the things on offer.

If you get a drinks package are the gratuities included?
-
Thanks again for that info and pics, so helpful. I'm glad we don't have to keep climbing over the sofabed lol. The ship looks gorgeous and we cannot wait to go! I think we will also purchase a fun pass as I'm sure it will be a more economically viable option if we intend to use the facilities. Even though our son will be 17 when we go (and us considerably older!) we still intend to partake in all the activities.

Yes Martin we are in Kendal, I see you are not too far away. Manchester born and bred though! Can I ask if you organised your trips yourself or did you do the ship ones?
-
Wow it looks amazing! Where is everybody lol. Hope it's that quiet when we are on. Do they make the sofa bed up each day so that you have room in the cabin during the day and if not is it something you can do yourself? We will have one but I wouldn't like it being up all the time.
-
Wow amazing pics! Thanks for those Martin, do you have any of the cabins?
-
Thanks for the reply AMT1, that's really helpful. I like the idea of the fun pass and acquiring extra credit so I think we will definitely do that. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.

Hi there
We are doing this cruise in October and I'd be gratetful if you could let us know how much the zipline, F1 simulator and bowling is if you don't mind. Also any pics of the ship/cabins etc would be great. Thank you

We phoned MSC to ask them to clarify the drinks packages. The only lager they do on the classic package is Heineken on draught and even the man we spoke to seemed surprised about that. So for bottles such as Peroni, Corona etc we would have to buy the Deluxe package. Bit disappointing really, especially when you don't drink Heineken!
Thoughts on Seascape?

I wouldn’t pay attention to the negative reviews. We went on the maiden voyage from Rome and had an absolutely amazing time. It was our first in YC and just wow! The ship is beautiful, the staff are fantastic and we met some wonderful people who we will stay in touch with. I’ve just booked Bellissima today so I hope she compares favourably to Seascape. Honestly just go and have a fabulous time.
