Thanks all for your input... don't want to start a war or something 😜

And yes i will "pre-pay" "before" the cruise 😜

I don't remember exactly how expensive is the water package on board, i would need to buy the 24x1L bottle (gonna share with my parents) and those show as 59.94 pre-cruise (with 63% off... supposedly...).
I know on board you don't have taxes added in (only service charge), so i'm wondering if it's worth it to buy it pre-cruise or i should get the same price on board (without taxes)?
Any recent cruiser could tell me what's the onboard price for the 24x1L
Thanks

Thanks for the replies.... thing is i was planning on taking the subway commute from JFK, so didn't wanted to do this with luggage...
-
We are doing a transat, so my plan was to drop my wife to the terminal with luggages and then go park the car to the JFK airport (so we would pick up our car when we get back from the return flight).
I would like my wife to check-in and get on board instead of waiting for hours in the terminal waiting for me to come back.
Can we check-in at a different time?
I know the site ask for a check-in time but i know it's not enforced usually, so we could chose the earliest and i will arrive later.
-
Our cruise will be staying overnight in Reykjavik (on May 5-6), so i was planning on renting a car to explore a little.
Is there any parking near the cruise terminal where i could leave the car overnight while we're back in the ship for the night?
Anyone had experience with car rental, there don't seems to be that many options opened on sunday (our cruise arrive on Sunday and leave on Monday), Avis downtown seems to be opened on Sunday but closes at 2PM (and the ship docks at 2PM exactly, so i don't think i will make it...)
Thanks

NCLH Stock price have gone up a lot lately, i'm wondering why it's been going up that much?

Champagne or sparkling wine? NCL has cheapened out Champagne for certain rooms for a long time.
Isn't Champagne only sparkling white wine that comes from the "Champagne" region in France... so technically "Champagne" on NCL ship is only sparkling wine because it doesn't come from Champagne, it comes from Chardonnay:

You know that Harry is the CEO of NCL and not Frank??? Harry could fix the wings… if anyone really cared.
OK, i'll tell Harry tomorrow 😉

I have no opinion on the wings. But I want to thank you for being willing to raise such a serious topic.
Most wont admit it, but chicken wings are the number 1 reason why we cruise...

Have tried both, and the new ones are quite disappointing. We are sailing in a few weeks and I have not broken the news to my son about the change as he loves their wings
During all of our previous cruise we always went a couple of time for wings during the night for a late snack... this cruise was first one we never mind even going once... might be a coincidence...
-
This is a very serious topic, Frank Del Rio is monitoring this thread 😜
Personally i was looking forward to the new baked style as i usually prefer those over fried wings, but i was quite disappointed... first the flavor was uneven (sometimes too much sauce. sometimes not enough) and out of 4 times, twice they were over-cooked (i'm guessing maybe there is a learning curve or somethings and the cooking will be better over time).
I also didn't like the new flavor that much (tried all three)... it didn't help that my favorite flavor (Jamaican Jerk) is gone.

The fish are always swimming forward towards the front of the ship to help everybody with direction.
Unless you follow the only fish going in the other direction... 😜

Unfortunately, I think that is what is going to be the outcome for @Sim1979
Yeah might be 😞
But i don't want to put any more pressure on my PCC as i already sent her two request and she responded to both that it was coming... and she is so nice

Did you receive an email regarding the approved FCC before your cruise? That is the key I believe. It normally takes about a week from when the request is put in, but you would of received an approval email.
However, when we were given FCC for our February 2022 cruise, it showed up immediately after our sailing was complete.
No email, but my PCC said she forwarded the request...
-
In january i asked my PCC for FCC as there was a big price drop for my upcoming cruise, she agreed and forward this to her management and said that i would get credit upon returning from the cruise.
I did return last Friday but haven't got any credit FCC yet... i email my PCC and she said that this takes some time.
How long have you guys had to wait before receiving the credit?
Thanks

We've just returned from B2B Panama Canal cruises on the Gem, and we had similarly poor (to no) entertainment offerings. In fact, I'd say it was the worst entertainment we've ever had on a cruise. We don't cruise for the entertainment, but when it's good, it does add value.
We just return from the panama cruise on the gem as well (went only the second leg Panama -> NY), our experience differ from yours, we found the entertainment to be very good (Blazing Boots particularly). There was three show by the Gem dance crew, one night there was no show because we were in port late, one night was the super bowl game on a big screen in the theater (with loads of food) and there was 2 nights with an incredible singer (Melissa McLaughlin, search her on youtube).
All in all, we really enjoyed (even though the music style by the gem dance crew were not our style, we still enjoyed pretty much).

What logistics? Having 16 drinks a day on a cruise is pretty average (for drinkers).
Here in Canada they made study saying you should not get more than 2 drinks..... per week... so you would basically get your yearly intake in about 6 days 🤣

DW and I really liked the 6eme Sens, it was our favorite during the Wine Tasting tour and we were happy to find that it was on the list when we went at le Bistro afterward... nice to see it's still on the list.
We are no drinker though (we even decline the drinking package), so we're no expert in any way.

Let's just hope that NCLH isn't going to temporary suspend this valuable giveaway benefits, despite its "enhanced" restrictive use onboard.
What's so "restrictive" on board.... it's only non-refundable right... so you can't use for casino.... but you can still use for restaurants, drinks, deal or no deal, shopping, etc....
-
Just received my 100$ onboard spending, i have received a reply email and the amount is showing in my Vacation Summary page (showing underneat disembarkation date and also showing in vacation add-on (2x50)).
I submitted my request on January 3rd and got the credit on January 13th... so exactly 10 days later. I only submitted by email once and never sent another email nor call...

Depends on which ship i would say, when i cruised on the Gem the main dining was opened for lunch on embarkation day... but when i got on Breakaway/Getaway, the main dining was closed (but you could go to Taste/Savor on deck 6 which is pretty much the same as the main dining room)
Should i pre-pay water before the cruise?
in Norwegian Cruise Line

You get 1 carton of water per Gold member in room, but those are smaller one (500ml) instead of the one you buy on the ship (1L)
