  1. Is this on RC, as that is the thread this is on. I know on NCL, they will not allow you to take something from the dining room EXCEPT in the speciality dining room where they did deliver it to my room, but maybe it was because you pay for each item a la carte (although we used a speciality restaurant coupon.)

I took food out of main dinning last month on RC. Then again, I took food out of the main dining almost every night on NCL last year. (mind you, I also use to work on NCL and all the time we allowed guests to take plates of food out of main dining. So unless this is a new rule, someone was just being lazy lol. Ask maitredee or restaurant manager next time)

  2. I am not going through Royal Weddings, but am doing my reception on ship (and have read from people who ARE going through them) that they send you a form and you write down songs. They will prepare it for you. You can also bring a USB on the side if you think they may not have your song. I am literally supplying 1 hour of the exact music I want.

  3. Do you or anyone in your group have access to the Suite or Diamond Conciege? If so, I would try communicating to the group person via one of the concierges.

I don't think anyone is Diamond, most are not Royal cruisers. I have a suite this time. Does that mean I should have access to a concierge? If so, where would I find the contact for that?

  4. Hey,does anyone have an email or number for someone they spoke to in groups? We leave in less then a month and I STILL have some people not added to our group cocktail party. I've gotten 5 emails back from them in the last 2 months and each time they NEVER answer my question, yet ask the same questions in different ways. I'm wondering if its different people responding each time and want to just speak to 1 person.

  5. There's always a sale on the horizon with Royal, unfortuantely they are virtually all fake sales.

If you are booked under US/Canadian rules and you see a price drop befire final payment date, Royal will normally grant you the lower price, unless they decide to enforce a new booking only rule.

I agree they are usually fake. BOGO 1/2 ect, they just jack up the prices so it comes to the original total. Super aggrevating

  6. The kids club does things to celebrate. (Mind you my daughter's birthday wasn't the 1st day) but they may prepare something. Plus give him something to wear that says it's his birthday, then everyone will tell him happy birthday. A little more then a shirt, bc people don't always read shirts, maybe glasses or a hat. We also decorated the room ourselves and tons of people came over to help sing.

  7. **I have posted this thread in the Royal Caribbean, but I figured I might as well post here!!**

Hello everyone! I have just recently figured out this website and I am searching for some help! My husband and I will be having a wedding on the Harmony of the Seas December 18, 2017. (We decided to get married before the sailing, bohemian wedding license was pricey) We are super excited, and so far everything has gone super smooth! I have read some previous threads about individuals having a awful experience and that is getting me a bit worried.

So to begin a little bit about myself! My name is Victoria (25) and I will be completing my wedding to my best friend Adam (28) of 8 years in 29 days!!!!!! clear.png?emoji-grin-1677 Its his first cruise, and I am so excited to share this with him.

We chose a cruise wedding because,

    1) We love to vacation!

    2) We did not want the stress of a local wedding!

We will be having about 18 guests total sailing with us, the wedding day will be the 3rd day at sea. My coordinator with Royal Ocean Events has only been a good experience so far! She has responded to my emails same day, and has made sure to get everything that I have wanted. Like we are having open bar but 3 of my guest cannot drink so they will be getting the Soda & Juice package only! We are also having the Platinum buffet, which is great! But I have a small nephew who will NOT eat steak or lobster, so we were able to order him a chicken finger plate for $15. She has recommended all of these to me and has made sure that I had chosen the right things and noted everything correctly! Of course I understand I will not know if this is all going to go according to plan until day of but I am completely hopefully that everything will go just fine.

We have also made welcome bags and were able to get a space for everyone to meet up embarkation day to give out which is awesome!!

    **Sorry for the long rant**

So basically I am wanting to know if anyone else has been married on Harmony of the Seas yet and how was their experience? And if anyone has photography photos that they are willing to share. Also how well did the spa do hair and makeup? clear.png?emoji-smile-1742

And if anyone wants me to keep this thread updated on my experience I will gladly post photos and any tips and info that I can share! I hope to have a positive outcome with my Royal Caribbean Wedding. clear.png?emoji-heart-193

Congrats again. Wou;d love to hear all about it.

  8. Hi Victoria,

I will be having a cruise wedding as well on the Harmony of the Seas but we will be getting married in St. Thomas so it will not be through RCI. I would still love to connect with you and here more about your planning process on some logistics and here more about your wedding after as well! If you'd be open to chatting please feel free to email me at caitlinr1020@gmail.com.

I want in on the convo lol. I'm getting married in Nassau so not through RCI, but my reception and dinner will be on board.

  9. So with the ship change, came an itinerary change, venue change, and reception time change. I had to work around the itinerary and reception changes as those 2 I had no control over. So in the end it looks like:

Morning Wedding (one of my worst nightmares)

2pm reception (which means nobody will be able to explore the island)

8:30pm dinner (massive time between reception and dinner that can't be changed)

    So itinerary will look like

    Wedding:

    Ceremony

    Group Pics

Cake and Bahamian Punch on the Beach

Guests go back/Bridal Party Stays for Professional Pics

    Reception-

Open bar/ hot & Cold Odourves

Traditional wedding stuff I want (1st dances, line dances, bouquet toss ect)

    Dinner-

    Main Dining

    Extras-

OOT bags- we have the bags. 1/2 are back packs, 1/2 Beach bags. they all have our wedding log on them. inside there are reusable water bottles and cozies with out logo, customized lanyards, decks of cards and uno cards, tissue, sanitizer, paper, pens, customized door magnets

Activities- (since the wedding is at the end now, well take the time to do bachelorette/bachelor type things)

Welcome meet and greet- RCCI offers meeting rooms free of charge for groups. so the 1st day we will do a meet and greet and pass out OOT bags. After we will do a quick wedding rehearsal

pub crawl- moh is organizing with drinking games. we even have our logo on one of drinking game cups

wedding scavenger hunt- guy vs girls (the girls will have team bride glasses to wear for the game)

    Décor-

The wedding coordinator will do most of the beach set up, but we are making a wooden sign and basket that says "shoes optional" so people can go barefoot.

The wedding programs are Chinese fans with the program tied on. They will be opened on each seat

We are bringing our won hour glass unity sand container

The reception will have a big welcome to our reception sign with out picture

    Dinner table center pieces:

The dinner theme is traveling while the ceremony theme is bird of paradise. So in the absolute center are lightbulb vases with silk birds of paradise. the vases are anchored with beach sand and mini shells. Then there is 1 souvenieer from one of the countries we've visited. Around that in a circle are pictures of us in those places or post cards from those places. (sounds more complicated then it actually I lol)

Everyone's paid for, now we just have to pray nothing else unexpected happens.

  10. Is anyone bringing a cart to help transport your luggages/wedding stuff on the cruise? I am planning on bringing only a few items for our wedding, but buying bottles of water on port, but trying to figure out how to carry it on embankment day.

I saw this cart and like how it folds- It's great, but it is 15 lbs and I am traveling from Washington State to Fort Lauderdale with a 20 month old son.

    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B002TITK8O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Do you have to do the cart Sounds like a lot to fly with. Especially if you are already carrying your son. How about just tip the porters at the port to bring them to your room for you? Unless you're planning on giving them out right away when you board (I actually am doing something like that). If you are have others split the weight. I have WAY too much stuff to carry alone. So each of my bridesmaids is getting something to bring on. (Hope that possibly have some alternative ideas?)

  11. I had another thought to share -- one of the things I'm planning, since good photos are so important to me, is a photo set up in our cabin. I did book the Owner's Suite for this trip, because the rate was great on this particular sailing, so we have extra space to do this (and entertain our guests in cabin/balcony).

Anyhow, I got magnetic hooks and some strong but thin cording to put on the ceiling (ceiling and walls are metal) and will be hanging some sheer curtains from Ikea $5 per pair (photo back drop) and also ordered some Chinese paper lanterns with little battery operated lights and silk wisteria flowers to hang. So in our cabin, we will have this small curtained grotto with twinkle lights, lanterns and flowers. All light weight, collapsible and not fragile. It is my way of having a lovely space, that I have essentially complete control over when it comes to cost, and timing. And we can enjoy it for the bulk of the cruise.

Thank you for the empathetic words. Also, that grotto space sounds awesome! Since the wedding is on the last day now (:() I feel like we are going to get tons of pics with everyone before hand so I won't be as stressed about pics before hand. Yet, still, we have the professional photographer on the island taking pics after the ceremony.
