  1. We got the same email yesterday to upgrade from an interior room to a neighborhood balcony for $100. Having never cruised with RC before I jumped on the deal and I believe that is a fair price. I do believe its unlikely we will get a call though because mock bookings do not show any option to book a neighborhood balcony :(

  2. But how long did it take to accumulate those 100,000 gold coins? I downloaded the game and messed around with it a bit, and it looks like it would take hundreds of hours to get that many coins!

When you play on all the apps it doesn't take as long. Maybe a few weeks of routine playing for a few hours each night. All the apps sync together for the loyalty coins.

  3. So in case anyone was wondering, I just did this process a few days ago for the $250 OBC reward. I had booked my 7-day cruise on 05/26. I followed the instructions on the email from MyVegas to forward my reward to Club Royale. However, I did not receive a response in 48 hours as it states I should.

I then decided to call Club Royale directly and get the credit applied. I'm glad I did because the representative on the phone stated that the reservation had to be made within 14 days of redemption, not 30. I was able to get it applied to my account within minutes and am able to utilize this OBC in my Cruise Planner now. I was also able to redeem it even having booked under the 30% off each guest promotion.

    Hope this helps!

  5. Just got off the Ecstasy today. I purchased the Social Plan and was overall pleased. I was able to access Snapchat and all other websites listed above.

FB Messenger always worked (messages were sent and received immediately), the other websites loading time varied by time of day. In the morning and late at night seemed to work the best; as well as when the ship was in port and many people were out exploring.

There were a few times I had to re-log back into the system (even though I never logged out). I found that to be strange, but an easy enough fix.

As long as you are using the internet for casual/social purposes and not emergency/timely response purposes, then the speed should be worth the money.

  6. I'm sorry if this has already been asked before, but I didn't see an exact answer when I went digging around.

My friend and I are traveling on the Ecstasy in May and purchased the Cheers package for the first time. I get the gist of the drink package and how a 15% gratuity has already been added in the price. However, I have a question concerning additional tips for bartenders who go above and beyond.

I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience tipping from your S&S account. I have $25 on a Carnival GC that I would like to use for this purpose (tipping). I know there is an option to do this on the bar tab and wanted to know if the reception of card tipping vs. cash tipping was different? Basically, do bartenders prefer cash tips? do they actually keep the tips themselves if I charge it to my S&S account?

    Thanks!

  7. if shes 24 and under, she can book if she has a child.

if she doesnt have a child she either needs someone over 25 in the room, or be part of a group where the person over 25 is listed

Surely this can't be true. Think of all the "spring breakers" who cruise without their parents. Also, my mother booked a Carnival cruise for May for me and my friend (both of us are 23) through Carnival directly and there was no problem getting us our own separate rooms. In fact, even my brother who is not 21 yet was able to get his own room. Granted we all are traveling together, but each of us have our own separate rooms. But who knows!

  8. What a great thread. Thank you all for the invaluable tips. Poppin' the Carnival cherry later this summer.

Couple questions have come up after reading this thread:

Casino.. Do you have to use to the S&S pass or can I still put cash on the table/into the slot machine?

One post mentioned matches in the bathroom...another a scented candle... Aren't these items on a banned list somewhere?

Carnival gift cards... From what I gather..these can be used to pay for your S&S account and cruise. Do the kiosks allow the gift cards to be applied or must you stand at GS? Anyone have experience with using the gift cards to pay for the cruise while using a TA? Can you call and have it applied or does the TA need to handle it?

    TIA!

When I went on the Glory last January (2016) I was able to add gift cards at the kiosk to my S&S account. Anything I purchased deducted from that balance first, then my CC when I used up my GC. Hope that helps!

  9. How can you prepay using a few gift cards? I have only been able to use one at a time

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

I was able to "add another gift card" to pay for the Cheers package in full. I used about 6 gift cards, so I know it can be done. I think the button is located right above where you entered the gift card number in (if memory serves me correctly). Though this was before the site change, so it may have changed a bit now. I'm sure it still can be done though.
