We just got back. I'm still working on the full very detailed do-it-yourself report on Cinque Terre. Should have it posted within the week. Standby.
Can’t wait to read that.

We have booked tours with Italy tours sharing by Joe Banana before.
They have several options to pick from, we have done the Pompeii and Amalfi Coast and then the year after Herculaneum and the Amalfi coast. Enjoyed both and can highly recommend them.
We joined a sharing tour for both.
Jules
We are using Joe Banana for the Pompeii and Amalfi coast tour in June. Did you go to the Amalfi coast or Pompeii first?

We are taking a tour to Tivoli and Hadrian’s villa after our cruise in June. We are using Joe Banana. They will pick us up at the port and then drop us at our air bnb after.

I am so excited for this adventure. I will be on this cruise in June. I think I need a count down chain.

I'm six feet tall and wear a size 11 shoe-- not so easy to just buy a few things on the ship if my luggage never arrives.
This is the exact reason I am only packing in a carry on.

Oh and take some light weight cardigans that can be layers under your jacket. I think a beanie is a great idea too.

I did Ireland and England two years ago in June. It was rainy and chilly everyday. I wore skirts and leggings though. I found a pair of pants from athleta that were lightweight hiking pants, but look like slacks. They were fabulous. Just stick to basic color for your skirts and pants and spice it up with your tops. Most pants and skirts can be worn more that once. Your skirts will work great when you get to warmer climates. They have built in A/C.

Has anyone ever cruised on a ship with two embarkation ports? We are cruising on Symphony in June. We board in Civitaveccia, but the cruise also boards in Barcelona. I am wondering if the people disembarking in Barcelona will affect the time we will be able to get off the ship for our day in port. Anyone have any information?

We are staying in a Boardwalk stateroom in June on the Symphony. Does anyone know if it is possible to upgrade from the soda package to the refreshment package? Or do you just have to pay the full price?

We are headed to the helipad sail away in a few minutes. I am dressed up and ready to roll. White should be formal enough for 150 CP tonight. Right?
Did your cruise have two embarkation ports? Is that why the sail away party is happening part way through your cruise?

72 degree water = too cold to enjoy
Where I am from we swim in 35-55, 72 is down right warm. Sounds lovely.

Back from our Mediterranean Vista cruise.
One of the highlights has been exploring the Calanques for the whole day on a private semirigid boat from the Vieux port.
We shared with two other families from our roll call.
We explored Chateau d'If, Frioul islands, a wonderful cave and many Calanques.
We had four swimming stops out of crowds with one of the best waters ever.
There's at list three companies doing it, we choose l'Eden Boat and it was a blast.
I think Les Calanques is a perfect option at the end of an exhausting and intensive Mediterranean cruise.
Do you remember what company your used for this tour? This sounds so perfect for our group.
Thanks

What a great review. We are doing a similar itinerary in June and it is nice to see what you have done.

I just booked a AAA/Costco ship to airport transfer for a very reasonable price. It leaves the port at 9:30AM for a 1:15PM flight out of FCO. Hope that will be plenty of time to catch our flight. It was less than half the price of the ship's transfer. Any thoughts?
I didn't even think to check with AAA. Good tip

What would I do with my luggage if I stopped in Florence on my way to Venice? I am hoping to take the train from Rome to Venice and would love to stop in Florence, just can't figure out what to do with my luggage while we tour Florence.
