Thank you for sharing your photos. I enjoyed seeing them.

Occasionally it is a case of supply and demand, with some of the treats not arriving at the port on time to be loaded on board.

Thanks for the information. As long as they don't get rid of the breadsticks.

Have seen these referenced. Just what are they? A new menu option/diversion?

I havent seen any post s for awhile, let us know.
So much good info given in past,I miss it.
You are very kind. I have not had much to add lately. Not cruising as frequently because of poor health, so I am not at sea as much. I did take the Pride to the Arctic circle and will take the Legend around GB and to Lisbon in '14. I just think that so many changes have been made that I might give less than current information. I tend to opt out of dress code and smoking discussions. However I always have opinions!
I also hang out on the 'other social network' site and often post travel links.

>"No one loves Seabourn and the Crew members more than Miss A." I wouldn't want to put that to a test, Miss M. I know it's not a contest, but my money is on you!

I have added on my 'loyalty cruise days to another itinerary. Never had a problem unless it's already sold out. Seabourn won't tell you when to take your 'reward'.

Jane is wonderful. She has such a melliflous voice that she could announce the ship had been hit by an iceberg and we all ould agree, collect our Mae Wests and line up quietly. Her shows are terrific.

OP is on back-to-back 7 day cruises so should have beach party/caviar in the surf in both places (Virgin Gorda and Mayreau). That's stated in the print brochure anyway.
Often for the week2week cruises, the Caviar in the Surf is one week, and the next week is the Deck BBQ. Both are very labor intensive and delightful.

I always pick the lemon-scented soap. I unwrap it and toss it in my suitcase, makes a great sachet.

I first had exposure to a block party on another line, Voyager, I think. I think it's a nice idea to get to meet one's neighbors. We are not talking a command performance, here. On a larger ship it's tougher to meet people so I would recommend it again for the big sisters. Onr time, on disembarkation, I crept out to read the luggage tags on my neighbor's suitace. Never saw them the whole time, and I was curious. Turns out they were from Germany very close to where I had lived years ago, I saw it as a missed opportunity, not getting to meet them. Never found a need to knock on their door to borrow a cup of champagne.

From another Seabourn social networking site: >"It was Capt Hamish Elliot who was taken off board to the hospital, thank goodness his wife was on board, hate to think what might have happened otherwise. They were due to go on holiday after this cruise."

Does anyone know what time kinesis classes are offered on the carribean cruise?
Found this in the forum search. It's a few years old.

I rarely have more than a carry on, but do require wheelchair assistance getting on the boat. Those personnel are a private firm provided at the port and often sport a Seabourn scarf/tie. The person who has to schlepp me in a w/c gets $20.00. If it is one of the Seabourn wait staff, they refuse the tip and I send it to them via the Pursers in a thank you card.

I cannot imagine anything so out of character and revolting. I would have the Maitre d's coat in my grip and we would both march up to the Hotel Manager's office and stay there until satisfactory answers were given. All night if necessary.
Curious about embarkation, no flu form completed? No names checked off?

Generally on each 7 day cruise there is either a beach BBQ or an on-deck Buffet and dance party. So there should be one of each.

Hotels in Rio are often discussed here. It's a popular port; http://www.nytimes.com/2013/10/27/travel/hotel-review-copacabana-palace-in-rio-de-janeiro.html?ref=travel

I am very surprised at this unSeabourn-like behavior. We have never experienced the "heathen" behavior. Disconcerting as we plan our next Seabourn cruise for fall '14.
The only really ugly behavior came on my first cruise when a rather snobby group of 10 from Hilton Head ased my frail mother to move so they could all sit together because we 'always do. This was on the Pride at a Virtuoso party with rough seas. Like my mother had the strength to stand and move those heavy chairs. We got up, thanked the hosts, (I told the rude sailors to bugger off) and we went to dinner. I didn't hold it against Seabourn, but even retelling the event makes my blood boil. The whole time they were loud, rude, to everyone.

Here's a link to a blog about Barcelona day trips. Since BCN is a favorite start/stop port for Seabourn, I thought some might enjoy reading about the area if you arrive early or depart after disembarking.

Several years ago, the Pride stopped in Falmouth and through the Concierge in London (Frank Laino at the Stafford) I was referred to a local guide, Hugh Trevarthen, who was wonderful. He had arranged a lovely site for lunch, posh and fun-looking, but what I wanted was to sit in the sun by the water and eat Cornish Pasties. That, too was wonderful. He's a great guy.

Cinque Terre is a frequent Seabourn stop. Here's info from a blog that I read. Might be helpful to some.

I always host a luncheon curry meal with great success. I plan ahead with the chef and leave it up to him for the most part. Great fun with new friends.
