Plane2port - It's wonderful that people are still finding and enjoying Egon's story. I had the pleasure of posting Egon's pictures from about post 800 onward. I never did get to meet him though.
-
Thanks for the heads up Steve. The link works fine for me. I'll revisit the site when I get some free time.
-
Steve - Thanks for posting your Dad's picture.
Egon is still telling us to make the best use of the days each of us are given, and not waste even one.
-
No problem. I've been known to do the same thing when posting.
-
hjg0989 - It's great to know that Egon is still influencing people. I'm sure he'd get a real kick out of that.

Well...my Dad almost beat Egon's age. He died Friday at the age of 93...
Pat - I'm so sorry you lost your father, that's never easy.
Who knows, maybe he's already met Egon on the other side.
-
I'm sorry Egon has passed on. I know how badly you'll miss him. That was quite an adventure he took us on. He brightened all of our lives.
Rest in Peace Egon.

Thanks for posting the latest on how Egon is doing. There's no way to read it without feeling sad. All I can do is say a prayer for Egon and Steve.
-
Just found out today that my friend lost her battle with cancer. Sad day!:(
Pat - That's a tough one. I've lost some very good friends. I think of them often, and I'm sure your friend will live on in your memories.
-
Pam - Thanks for posting the update. I hope Steve knows how much we appreciate him keeping us updated.
I'm sending up Prayers for Egon, and hoping for the best.

I have made my decision! I'm going on my first TA with Royal the end of April for 14 nights. It turned out cheaper than going to Iceland. Also, my cruising buddy is on the ship, which will be lots of fun.:D
Pat - 14 days sounds great. Plenty of time to relax and really enjoy the cruise.
-
Hmmm? New sectional sofa or a TA with my best cruise buddy? Decisions, decisions. LOL:D
Somehow I think you've already decided. :p

Happy Birthday Egon!
Pat - Thanks for posting his message and his picture. It sounds like our birthday cards got there OK.
-
So, in order to be optimistic and prepared, I am aiming at Ft. Lauderdale for "Poesia" on April 20, which passes by at New York where I would like to see my good friends Lea and Bill, on to Dover, where I would like to be at the B&B in Southampton, to see Sylvia, Olivia, ken and Max; take a plane direct to Bern for a "Last Visit" and then return to Canada. Could it be?
I sure hope Egon can somehow manage to take the trip he described.
Pat - Your new pups are incredibly cute.
-
Good for you Pat. The pups should keep you busy. What have you named them?
-
CAC104 - Best wishes for your husband.
Pat - I'll try to remember to pick up a birthday card for Egon.

Hi all, I just wanted to add my wishes for everyone and especially Egon to have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
-
Pat -I'm sorry to hear that. I understand shingles came be very painful. I hope it doesn't last to long.
-
1659 people have clicked on this site since I posted this last update. Still only 4 cards sent!
I hope there's a flood of them on the way. I know I was a bit late sending mine. :o
-
That is very disappointing.....I mailed 2 myself
I hope more cards start showing up. I have seen it take two weeks to send a letter from Montana to Vancouver, BC. I don't know if it went the long way to get there or was left sitting somewhere for a while.
-
Pat - Thanks for posting Egon's latest report. I hope his speech and memory returns to what it was. I can only imagine how frustrating that must be.
-
Glad to see you are here Doug! [\quote]
Oh yeah, I'm always reading along, I'm just not normally a real chatty type. :)
I admire the way Egon is always looking forward, hoping for something new and exciting.
I hope these holidays are good to him and everyone else here.

I'm always happy to post Egon's picture. It looks like he's got a nice place to finish his recovery.
Never too old!

Steve, It's good to remember your Dad. I think of him now and then too.
