Thanks everyone for the help! The link is visible to be clicked on and I just clicked on it to apply a payment then the warning pops up that you have to be directly booked through Royal to make a payment.
Sorry for the question if I just clicked on the link before asking I wouldn’t of wasted anyone’s time.

Even if you booked through Royal you are not always certain that the website will accept your payment. It is probably the worst bit of a very bad website overall........

I'm sure your TA will get back to you shortly. Just give it some time. It is good your TA knows you paid some $$ towards your cruise and will keep the record for any scenario.

Yes, but also my CC statement will have charges to Royal Caribbean on it as well. Just wondering what people have done if they’ve done it either ways or both ways and if there’s a preferred way!

Hello! Our Final payment is due in March, however I wanted to start tossing some $$$ towards it and have it paid off before final payment...what is best should I just do it on the Royal website or through my TA?
I DID email my TA the question but they didn’t answer the question about paying on the Royal website just that I can email them and they’ll charge my card on file.

It is this response that leads me to believe the OP is just trolling to get the necessary response to step up on his soapbox and chastise someone.
No really I don’t have the time to “troll” I’ve got two kids under 4 a full time job and a house to maintain no time for those shenanigans
If I really wanted to troll I would be asking if I could buy a service dog jacket for my dog
and bring him on the cruise :)

Rules are made for a reason..............! Yes, speed limits, no u-turns etc are rules made for a purpose. Driving no faster than the posted limit that needs to be followed, no texting, etc. I try very hard to follow all rules, whether I agree with them or not. When you do not, then you quite possible will inconvenience someone else.
Sorry, but I had to state my opinion. Rules are rules.

I apologize I should of just replied “thanks” And i did not.
I only replied to the person who said “shame on you” as I felt that was an unnecessary and rude and yes a judgmental response, so please before everyone gets all angry at someone about a question and discussion give them the facts they may change there mind....
So yea I understand the rules I didn’t know they could cancel your package so I actually looked that up on the page and read the fine print, that wouldn’t be too economical to lose out on a $450 package so now I’ll really consider and most likely go the “a la carte” way and just buy as needed.
So thank you all for your replies and information you have changed my thought on the situation and I greatly appreciate it

Sorry, but it's people like you who think you can "share" the drink package that have made the rules change to where anyone over 21 has to buy a package if one does! Shame on you!!
Shame on me? Who do you think you are? You must be one angry person if you casting “shame” on someone for this?
You must have a hard time in life especially when people go over the speed limit, don’t stop at a stop sign, or fail to use there turn signal.
That’s one thing I hate about these boards is everyone is so judgmental of other people just for asking a questions. Grow up be an adult and show some respect for simple questions back and forth, your not hired by the cruise line to enforce the rules. If people want to “break” the rules they are adults and can make that decision we don’t need to be scolded on a message board that is being used for information and to build excitement for a cruise.
With that off my chest...Royal will make much more on one person buying a drink package than if we didn’t and bought drinks by the drink because we have 2 young kids we won’t be getting drunk. So it’s more of a convenience thing and paying for the package ahead of time rather than worrying about my “bar tab” throughout the the cruise.

I searched and couldn’t find the answer on the boards before posting....
We are going on the Anthem in June 2019 and there will be 5 of us going so we obviously have two rooms.
My wife will be in one room with our two girls (4 and 3) and I will be in the room across the hall with my mom who is coming with us. I will obviously be in the room with the kids and my wife once we board but for booking purposes that is how we did it.
So my question is if the Wife buys the beverage package do the kids HAVE to get the basic package?
There’s no need for us to both get the drink package so thinking this might be a good option.
Kids don’t drink soda so they will be fine with the basic juices and water etc.

Same reason why there is now a thread criticizing “live review” threads.
I wasn’t criticizing, just saying i enjoy reading them, but I would prefer to not spend my vacation doing a live blog and responding to questions when on vacation.
My Wife and I are actually tossing around the idea of starting a travel blog website. I’ve been on 8 cruises and my DW 4, I’ve also done a semester of college abroad in Australia. Our cruise in June of 2019 on the Anthem will be our first in a while as we wanted to wait for our girls to be a little older 4.5 and 3 for our first family vacation. So if we do a blog we’re going to do it from a family perspective.

Live Reviews are GREAT, I enjoy reading them, but I can't understand how or why anyone would want to do one unless your a doing it for a job like a travel reporter or something.
When I go on vacation the last thing I want to do is sit on my laptop/ipad log on ridiculously priced internet and type a review of my day and then on top of that answer questions readers are asking. I feel like I wouldn't enjoy my vacation that way.
The thing I love about cruising is that once I get on the ship and check in back home that we made it safe and are on the ship I turn my cell phone off throw it in the safe and don't turn it back on until we return the final day. There is just something about not being "connected" to the outside world that makes cruising amazing....along with the amazing ships, ports of call, drinks, food, and everything else that makes a cruise a cruise.
Thank you to all the dedicated "Live Reviewers" it is something that I will never do, but you are a valuable resource to the CC Community.

What's the point? Deployment for 2019 is still being finalized, nobody is going to know any secrets for 2020 deployment for quite some time.
I think trying to read through 242 pages for any thread is ridiculous so that’s why I started a new one if not needed then obviously host can delete. I booked my 2019 Cruise so I’m all set for 2019 and am thinking about about 2020 now. I unfortunately can’t afford to have 5 cruises a year!

The only time you get the deposit back now is if you book a refundable fare and cancel before final payment.
I think in the long run this will be better for consumers especially the consumers booking a cruise for the first time. Where they would have to learn how to play the “game” book then keep watching for price drops and canceling and rebooking to save $$$ all these changes allow the cruise line to most likely keep prices stable and around the same range except for “last minute” bookings.
I’m a veteran cruiser and I hate the “game” would rather pay for something and be done with it. Maybe that’s the millennial in me!

We will be going on the Anthem of the Seas in June of 2019. It will be my 9th cruise but first one since have kids which will be 4 and 3 for our cruise.
The thing I loved about cruising was once getting on the ship and checking in with family/friends that we got on the ship we would turn off our phones for the week and not turn them back on until we got back.
I love the idea of the Royal iQ app and it’s functionality and feel like it would be very beneficial communicating with my wife or grandma if we need to meet up or something during the day especially with the kids being so young.
However I don’t know how I feel about having my iPhone on me all the time with the risk of losing it or getting in the pool and being out the expensive iPhone.
So can this be done...buy a “burner phone” at Walmart before for $20/$30 that has WiFi access and download the app? Has anyone done that before?
This would still enable me to turn off my phone and put it away for the well with still have the functionality of using the app on the Anthem

Yes! We did this in College for our Spring Break...you should of seen my house the night before the cruise with everyone food coloring their alcohol....that was a fun cruise!
