You sound like a lawyer in that post. How about giving us a detailed explaination step by step of what happened and what you think NCL did or did not do. I can't tell from your post if you are saying that they won't give you upgrade certificates for your points, if they won't let you combine upgrade certificates and the $500 certificates, or if there was some other promotion going on that they won't let you combing something with. How about a clear step by step explanation of what happened.

Is there a way to use the credit card and get points to pay for purchases from places that don't accept credit cards? What I am specifically thinking is that it would be nice to pay for my morgage each month with this card. Unfortunatly my morgage company does not accept credit cards for payment. I thought I remembered reading somewhere in another post a year or two back where there was a specific type of check you could request for this. Any ideas?

One question regarding using the certificates. Can they be used after final payment has been made? I am looking at a cruise in Mid April. The final payment will be due January 28th. I will probably have enough points for a second certificate at the end of January or the first week of February (big purchase planned). Can I request a certificate the beginning of February and get a credit back on my card for the money I put towards the final payment?

I tried but I just can't make it through 40 pages of posts to find the answer. We arranged our week to include 2 full days in Fort Lauderdale after our cruise in August. We will have a car to get around. I'm looking for a decent hotel in the $80 range that has free parking, a free continental breakfast, and maybe a resturaunt or two for dinner within walking distance. The hotel doesn't have to be a 5 star place but it does have to be in a decent neighborhood and clean. I'm basicly looking for a place to sleep in a convenient location to whatever else is around. Also looking for any good websites that show things to do/see in fort lauderdale.
