  1. Going on the Seaside this Saturday! I have been on the Divina as well. I am glad to see your positive comments. I agree MSC is a little different from some of the American lines but I believe that can be a good thing. To avoid the coupons you have to book the Aurea experience that has unlimited drinks. It is a good value considering what you get. I hope more people will post about their experience. I will when I return.

  2. I was thinking about the Bermuda cruise but was a little disappointed they were only there 24 hours. You need at least 2 days but I might still consider it. I am thinking of the 7 days to Nassau, Grand Turks and Half Moon Cay. I have been to all of them before but I looooove Half Moon Cay and really want to go there and I think my son and his wife would love it. Grand Turks is very nice also. I think we will go to Atlantis for Nassau. I will see what fits in their schedule. The ship does look very nice and would be good for 1st time cruisers I believe. Any other feedback from anyone is welcome. I have also looked at the reviews from other CC members and the majority have been positive.;)

  3. I hope all of you can give me some feedback. I am considering the Fantasy out of Charleston for the convenience of travel. (Only 3 hours) I have been on many cruises and a few out of Charleston so I know the drill on enbarkation and have no issues with that. I want to bring my son and his wife who are mid-twenties and book 2 rooms for us. They have never cruised before. Do you think they will have enough to do on the ship and have a good time. We are not gamblers and we don't party much. So I am not sure if there are enough activities to keep us occupied. Of course we want some down time too so I am sure we will have that on sea days. I was going to book on a larger ship but this one is just so convenient that I am tempted to give it a try. Also, I was concerned on the options of food on the cruise since there are no speciality restaurants but it looks like they have added some things in the cafe that would be good. What are your thoughts?

  4. I really think now I really have to spoil the "kids" on this cruise. Even though this will be a large expense, I think I can pull it off. Memories are what matter and I want them to have fun and get a good first time experience in cruising. My son gets sea sick easy so I know he will have to take Bonine every day but at least your review answers the motion and lack of it even in rough seas so I think he will survive better on a larger ship. I am a little afraid of putting him on the smaller boats as they can rock and roll. Believe me I know! Went on NCL Majesty 3 times (40,000 tons) and a rock and roller! Loved staggering down the hallways though. Your looked like you were drunk w/o drinking. LOL First time I was ever sea sick was in a storm coming back from Bermuda on her in a storm. Didn't take my seasick meds..Stupid I know but I was a novice cruiser then. Still had a special place in my heart for the little ship. Crazy I know..she was just a rust bucket to some but to me she was my first cruise experience on NCL. I had been on Carnival before that on a larger boat. But I digress..Thanks again! You made my day reading your review. Great stuff! You are a good writer.:)

  5. I got hooked on cruising in 2002. Never thought I would like it, but I was wrong. My husband and I never took very many vacations and I regret that we did not take my son on a lot of vacations either when he was a child. I know I should be saving more for retirement, but I am reminded that my Dad died at 55 and Mom at 73 (however she had MS since she was forty-something) so we are spending our money now and having fun. I just turned 50 and I know I am not guaranteed anything. I am thankful that I have the health to go and I will have no regrets later. Money saved is not everything.
