  1. We are sailing Oasis in January. My wife and I usually just jump in an Uber to/from the port, but I don't believe Uber will have car seats for a 1 and 4 year old kid. RCI wants $20 per person including the kids even though they could sit on laps. My next question, we will get off the ship around 8:30am and our flight out of MIA is at 4:35pm. Again I thought of one of RCI excursions (alligator) but it is $89 for kids also. Is the a hotel with a pool that offers shuttle from Seaport and the from hotel to the airport? or any other ideas to keep kids busy for a few hours?? TIA

  2. We are on Allure on 12/1. We are staying in the Fort Lauderdale area with family two days before and 3 days after the cruise (they cannot give us rides to/from port. On the roll call forum someone warned that this could be a record breaking day at the port with more ships than usual. I am debating Uber or rent a car.... price is probably close not figuring on parking. How much is parking? Should we consider a satellite lot? Do the shuttle buses get to the ship sooner then Uber or my own car?   Thanks

  3. We are on allure sailing at the end of November. I received a “Royal up” email today. My questions are what is the realistic percentage of getting the best price? Also we now have an outside balcony and have never liked spending too much money on cabins since we spend very little time in our cabin. I thought it may be worth a couple hundred bucks for a junior suite if they get double points because I have been trying to get to Diamond plus....thoughts???

  4. The DW and I have Allure booked in the middle of November and our daughter just announced she is with child (first one) and due date of early November....no way DW (or Grammy!) will want to leave town for a month or two.....I asked TA and after he checked with RCI, was told it would cost $200 since it was a NRD......any ideas....we are flexible.......thanks

  5. Because this is our first time on Oasis class (Harmony) and I always forget something and also always learn something new when I ask here!  This is what we have:

Voom for one device (and I purchased a Hootoo so we can use a couple devices at the Sam time)

ATT Cruise text and tak just for my phone for $50. (I need to check on work stuff every day)

I will turn data off on my phone

i will put her phone and both IPads in Airplane mode. ( I have had surprises before!!)

I will only make calls & texts when I see “cellular at Sea” or I know I am in a US  Territory  (I have had surprises before!!!)

what at is the best way for my DW and I to communicate while onboard if we get separated or lost?

What else am I forgetting or doing wrong??

Thanks ......we sail on 3/10....can’t wait!!!!

  6. We are sailing on Harmony 3/10....I just received a royal up email. my question is if I bid the minimum $400x2=$800 what perks will we get?

do we get double C&A points? i'm trying to get to Diamond!!

do we get free booze?  I have already paid for one booze package and one soda package, If free in suite, will that be refunded?

    what other perks are available??

    Thanks

We made prime on our last cruise and they told us on board that would entitled us to 1 free cruise. When we called they said we only get free cruise offers on certain sailings. Does this mean we have to pick from these choices and once we pick an offer will that be it and they will stop offering deals? Also, we have to travel with our 1 and 2 year old and they said we can’t ever use the kids sail free offer. Do they ever allow for you to use offers they give to everyone else?

    Thanks in advance!! 🙂

Any Idea what it takes to hit prime.....I'm usually at a table two or three hours a night

  8. We are signed up for late dining as of now (3/30/18 sailing) what I understand from this forum is that early dining is probably full at this point and RCI would not change even if I ask.

I keep going back and forth as to what is the better time to eat. I have never liked My Time Dining because I think it is niceto sit at a table with a few other couples and get to know them over theduration of a cruise.

Her are a couple of my thoughts and wonder if anyone wants to chime in and help with our decision. maybe I need a shrink!!!

    CONS for Early Dinning:

When we get back from an all day excursion, it is nice notto have to hurry, have a drink, maybe goto a hot tub or pool and take our time taking a shower and getting cleaned upfor the early show and dinner.

Most families do early dinning and more kids are in the diningroom (not to sound like we hate kids)!

    CONS for Late Dinning:

We are used to eating around 6pm at home.

I have been very good on a diet lately and I hate to thinkof eating a big meal so late at night. I will have a tendency after dinner tosit at a show and then a bar and then go to bed.

    Thanks for your input......
