The muster drill is now very simple. You simply watch a video explaining everything, then physically go to your muster station so they can scan your room card. It is a great change brought on by covid.

The Waterfront has nice big, comfy loungers. Also, the Thermal Spa can be very relaxing and I always caught a nice nap in there.

I was on 9/26 and we never heard any info although I read here there was supposedly a spa crew member so others were also quarantined.
Nobody was able to really verify the rumor.
How did you find this out? Are you by chance on the ship now or you heard it from someone who is?
The YouTube page La Lido Loca is reporting the quarantine. He is in contact with some other YouTubers and they are feeding him the information. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but he happens to know the people that are in quarantine. I'm going on the Breakaway this Sunday.

that looks like the same letter that was sent around September 9 or so . It does say in the letter that all guest take a PCR test 96 hours prior to sail date and all guest must register on the bermuda ta website
I sail on October 31. That letter was sent to my travel agent, not me. Fortunately, she is also my sister and sent it to me right away.

From what I've read, they test you at the pier, antigen and PCR, at no cost. The antigen result gets you aboard the ship after waiting in the terminal for the result. The PCR sample is analyzed while enroute to Bermuda.

I participate in this. I bought my 150 shares after the COVID crash. Now they are way up AND I get a free $100 on my Bermuda cruise in October. 😊

What's not to like. It sounds like a great solution. I'm looking forward to getting an opportunity to experience the process.

Great pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Justin Golan was the piano player/lounge singer on the Escape last fall. He was so good. I saw his show numerous times and it was always great.

Right there next to you waiting. Mine is NYC Aug. 9.
I've been watching that cruise. I've already had my vacation in Florida for that week cancelled and I thought maybe I'd get a last minute deal on this cruise. I'm in Philadelphia, so it would be easy to get to NYC for departure. If it works out, it works out. Hopefully at least you will be able to go on that cruise.

Has Norfolk been used as a cruise port before?

I was never confirmed however two of my doctors are almost positive I had it. I did test Negative for the "Flu" this was early February before testing was done.
I had been in contact with two people who were in China the last two weeks of February. I saw them 3 days after they got back and I was sick along with them a few days later. One of them was tested positive by a local hospital very early on. Any way I had a fever of 101-103 for 6 days, I'm 57 and have never felt so bad, loss of smell and taste for 6-7 days which was very strange. A few days after I started feeling sick I learned 8 others at my company had the same thing, two people in their 40's were in the hospital for 3-4 days. It was a good 4 weeks before I felt back to normal, it was almost like I had mono.
Glad to hear you recovered.

Ok I wanted the 100 shares for a long time, since I cruise NCL a lot.
50.00 was not affordable. But today , I bought for 15.01 a share. I'm assuming it might go lower, bit hey for $1500.00, bargain. If I go on 5 more cruises which I will. Every cruise gets me a $100.00 credit. Who knows it will go back up after the panic is over.
That pretty much sums up my plan as well.

Why does it appear NCL is losing more than RCL or CCL?

That link is the worst pop up and ad link I think I've ever tried. Never did see the new article.
It's there, you just have to scroll down a lot to get to it.

Thanks for letting me know. There goes my dream solo cruise!
I cruised solo in November to Bermuda on Escape. My wife isn't into cruising as much as I am so I booked a studio cabin. Don't knock it till you try it. I had a great time.

The husband and I are arguing over whether to go or not. We booked the Bliss March 22nd cruise I want to go and he wants to cancel. I am wondering if they would let my husband cancel and let me take my solo dream cruise that I have always wanted to do!
I had the same question. My friend wanted to cancel, but not I. My TL called NCL and they told her both parties need to cancel. In the case of you and your husband. He could not cancel if you don't. He could not show up and you could still go. He'd get some money back, like port fees, etc, but the not his cruise fare.

From how I understand it, you only need to BOOK the cruise by the one year date. You have until the end of 2022 to actually take the cruise.
I supposed to be on the Breakaway for the May 1 trip. I'm going to cancel and take the FCC.

I'm taking my first solo cruise in a few weeks on Norwegian Escape. I booked a studio room and look forward to doing my own thing. I'm signed up for a Meet and Greet to get to know some of the other guests. I've cruised with my wife in the past, but she could not make this trip, so I'll be perfectly happy keeping myself busy. I'm interested to see what I get into since I've never travelled alone before. But I'm very low maintenance, so I know I'm going to have a great time.
Rough ride NYC to Bermuda
in Norwegian Cruise Line

I was on the Breakaway on the Halloween cruise from NYC to Bermuda. The sees were very still going to Bermuda. They were a little rougher heading back, but nothing more than some swaying. The seas looked a lot worse than it actually felt on the ship. I'm looking to book a cruise on the Joy to Bermuda next October.
