This is true, but they have a special appetizer Mac and cheese that's different from the kids one. I should've specified I was referring to that one. :-)

  2. I usually stick to the script but on occasion I go a little rogue. The wait staff is always very accommodating, just ask them for what you want and if it's possible they'll get it. If not, they'll just let you know they can't. Just remember, they have a new group every week or every few days on some occasions so whatever you're asking for, they've heard it before.

I've asked for Mac and cheese when it wasn't on the menu before and they made it happen. He told me it wasn't on the menu that night but he would check. I told him not to bother because it wasn't a big deal. A little while later, here he comes with some Mac and cheese!

  3. You are awesome! I can't wait! We're sailing on Feb 10, 2018. Can you find out a few things for me? Which dining room is Anytime dining, and if it's not the Sunrise, will they allow you to request the Sunrise dining room if you have Anytime dining? What days are the 2 elegant nights? How are the cabin temperatures? I've heard things about them being uncomfortably hot. Will the Steakhouse allow you to enjoy some drinks at the bar without eating dinner in the Steakhouse?

    Thank you so much!

I can't answer the other questions, but as for the room temp, ours was definitely warm. I don't think I would say uncomfortably hot, but we had the AC maxed the entire cruise and our room stayed pretty warm. I just cruised in early March. Hope that helps!

  4. Well, I'm going to take the opposing view here :-)

I just went on a cruise last month on the Sunshine and I was in an interior room for the first time ever. I've stayed in ocean views, balconies and suites prior to the interior room.

    I hated it.

It's dark (and depressing in my opinion). I would wake up and not know if it was day or night, the room was hot even though we had the AC maxed the entire time (could be an issue with the specific room I was in) and the lack of any sort of window definitely made the room feel much smaller to me.

It seems like most people don't really care what kind of room they're in, and don't get me wrong I still had a great cruise, but staying in an interior room was by far the least enjoyable part of my trip.

I don't mean to be too negative, but just wanted to share my experience. Either way, you're cruising!!
