  1. I am booked on the Vista for March 2021.  I just found out that my school district changed our spring break for next year, so I need to cancel and rebook.  I *think* I booked Early Saver, which stinks, but...whatever.  Anyways, on to my question!  WHERE can I cancel?  I'm usually quite tech savvy and familiar with Carnival's site, but I cannot figure it out!!!!  Also, is it better to cancel myself then rebook, or would using a PVP be better?  (I usually book things on my own...just wondering if they would waive the change fee or...something!)

I just looked it up and saw it's a 7 day and I don't think they would do elegant night on the last night, so it'll most likely be after your Grand Turk stop. On our 7 day Western last year, 2nd elegant night was on the night of our Grand Cayman port day and like yours, we had a sea day and then back to Tampa.

I was wondering if it would be on our Puerto Rico day, as our Grand Turk day is in port until 5:30 which seems late for elegant night?  Only curious because we have Steakhouse reservations on the PR day and trying to figure out if we need 2 or 3 nice outfits!  😎

  3. Hello!

We are cruising out of Miami on March 24th, Eastern Caribbean on the Magic.

I assume the first elegant night will be the first day at sea.  When will the second day be?  (I'm used to 3 ports instead of 4!)  Our last port day we are in Grand Turk until 5:30, then there is a sea day before returning to Miami.  Just wondering if it will be the Grand Turk day or last sea day?

    Thanks for any input!

It is a really nice place.  Stayed there 1 x.

I'm wondering, how are you getting back to FLL?  We are having the same problem and can't quite figure out what to do with 9 hours.

I am thinking we will Uber to whatever we decide to do.

  5. We return from a cruise to the Port of Miami on Sunday, March 31st.  Our flight home doesn't leave FLL until 9:45.  We are looking for a way to spend the day.  I have heard of "Resort for a Day" at ports of call, but never heard of them being used in Florida.  When I went online, there was only 1 resort listed for FLL at this point - The Atlantic Hotel and Spa.  It has great ratings on Tripadvisor, but wondering if anyone is personally familiar with either the resort or other options?

    Thanks!

  6. We are 2 families sailing together next March on the Magic. Currently we have YTD selected, which one of us did on our last cruise and loved. Rethinking this plan now, though. Will seating for 8 be more difficult? Especially if we request the same staff?

Thanks for any input from anyone who has done this.

  7. We have done all of the islands you listed. The breeze would be my first choice for your group if price wasn't a factor.

But since it is I would choose the magic.

We really enjoyed Amber Cove. We did the 27 waterfalls of Damajagua. You can look in my signature and click on my conquest review. I just finished it and it has pictures and videos of this tour. They have lots of outdoor tours with the company we went with (iguana mama). You can rappel down waterfalls, ride ATV's, etc.

Grand Turk has a nice beach in port. But we rented an ATV and drove around the island There aren't many cars so it was safer than most island. You can rent scooters or golf carts too. There were others driving some kind

Puerto Rico we walked to the forts and stopped at the chocolate restaurant. We even tried a chocolate grilled cheese.

St Thomas has some nice beaches. I think for one day you shouldn't have to keep them entertained. They can read a book and do what everyone else does on the beach. You can always ride the sky ride up to paradise point if you need to break up your day.

Thanks! The waterfalls do look amazing (and terrifying!!).:o I will check out your reviews!

  8. Check out the Waterfalls of Damajagua in Amber Cove. That looks very adventurous. I'm actually doing the same itinerary on the Magic in 1/2019. This will be my second Eastern Caribbean trip. I personally prefer Eastern but have always enjoyed Western too, I guess you can't go wrong in the Caribbean.

I guess you can't go wrong in the Caribbean.

    This is very true!!!

  9. We are all about beach days, so we definitely prefer Eastern Caribbean over Western. St. Thomas and Grand Turk beaches have plenty of activities for those who need it, and plenty of opportunities to relax with a few beverages for those who so choose. We love Jack's Shack on Grand Turk. You can vacation at your own pace, without the crowds and hefty prices of Margaritaville.

Thanks! Starting to lean that way...

  10. Back from our cruise and ready to book another spring break! We can only cruise during March (teacher), and I am looking at leaving probably from FL. I wanted to check out Magic, but there are only 2 sail dates listed so far for March 2020 - one is too soon (March 14), one is too late (March 28) Do you think they are finalizing ports/itineraries for the week of March 21st? Or maybe a charter? Just wondering...:confused:

  11. Is there an easy way to search on Carnival for what cruises are available for specific dates? I currently just use the regular site, plug in the month then have to keep clicking the date button. As a teacher, my dates for cruising are inflexible.

    Anyone know of a way?

    Thanks!

  12. Our flight plans had to change, so now we will be arriving at 10:10 on a Saturday night, for a cruise departing on Sunday out of Miami. I am looking for as inexpensive hotel as possible, as I anticipate we will arrive, get our luggage and go to the hotel to sleep. We need 2 double or queen beds. Amenities (pool, etc.) not required.

Any suggestions for close, cheap and CLEAN?

    Thanks!
