  1. Original itinerary showed ship arriving at noon on one day.it’s an over night with the second day being disembarkation day, which said 5:30am. Got pax docs an it says last day disembark is at 8:30 am. Our flight is at noon so 5:30 was no problem. 8:30 big problem. Can I leave ship (walk off ) say at 11pm first day and just stay in a hotel so as to get to the airport on time?  Thanks for the advise.

  2. Don’t travel from Europe too often so need some advise. Traveling from Barcelona with short stop in AMS then a 2 hour layover at JFK then on to ft. Lauderdale.travel will start about noon in Barcelona and arrive at 11:pm in ft Lauderdale. Will I feel like driving another 2 hours home upon arrival or just spend the night in ft Lauderdale and drive home the next day?

  3. I've seen here that some things must be registered for after you board. We're sailing on the quantum in a few weeks and have our 7-13 year old grandkids with us. Can someone help out with what we need to reserve and the best way to do it so we don't miss out on anything. Thank you so much for the help.

  4. If you just got Covid and are scheduled to cruise in mid January what are the rules assuming you test negative with the test you take 2 days before boarding. Is there any period required between active Covid and cruising.

  5. Does anyone know or have an opinion on if there will be any changes to the Captain's Club perks? Trying to decide between HAL and Celebrity. HAL intinerary is a little more to my liking but Happy hour and laundry perks on Celebrity are really nice. Elite on Celebrity (some points came from Royal Caribbean) 2 star on HAL so no real perks on HAL. Thanks for the feedback.

  6. CCCole   The ship docks in Oahu on November 4TH. I have responsibilities that can't be changed until about 1:30 pm. The ship doesn't leave till 11pm so getting back shouldn't be a problem.

  7. Sailing to Hawaii in November. It's on my bucket list to see some big waves and probably may not get back to Hawaii again. I have 8AM-5pm stops at Hilo, Kona and Lahaina. Full day 8am-11pm in Oahu with a slight hitch. I have responsibilities in Oahu until 1pm. Would there be any place to see these Big Waves at one of the first 3 stops? I would have all day there. In Oahu I only have afternoon and evening to get my sightseeing done so that may put a crimp into my plans. Does anyone know if it's possible to take an uber or cab from the pier to the beach? Not sure how far that would be but that would allow me to go while in Oahu. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  8. Going to Hawaii in November. Ship docks at 8am but I have responsibilities until 1PM. Ship leaves at 11PM. So I have afternoon into evening to sightsee. I'm not a surfer but a bucket list item has always been to see the big waves on the north shore. Can't seem to find any excursions that would cover that especially one that would start in the afternoon. Is it possible to take a cab or an uber from the pier to the beach? Not sure how far it is. Also going to Hilo, Kona and Lahaina other days from 8-5 without any thing planned if those places have big waves I could maybe do something from there. Much thanks for any suggestions.

  9. I'm aboard the Koningsdam now. First sailing after dry dock. They seem to have hit it out of the park with the Rolling Stones rock room. Music is fantastic. Perfect for people who love real rock and roll.If you're in your 60's this is the music you grew up on. Band plays AC-DC, Cream, Hendrix, Rolling Stones, Queen etc. Pretty load as it should be. They play 3 sets each night and the great part is when their set finishes, you can walk 10 ft and the Piano bar starts playing their 45 min set.You can just go back and forth. Really a perfect night of rock and roll. Never seen this many people up till midnight on any Holland ship. Ship had and still has some electrical problems but they say it will be fixed soon. So all in all they improved music walk a great deal.

  10. Will have from 8AM to11PM to see Paris. Two choices from the cruise line.$150 pp to bus in and spend 3 hours on your own and come back or $279pp to bus in, photo stop at Eiffel Tower and see other sites from the bus and then a 1 hour river cruise. Second choice is not the worst option but was wondering if anyone had any other experience getting from port to and from Paris. Thanks for the help.
