  1. Hop a cab to arashi beach and find the seabob rental shop.  Ask for david.  Rent his 2019 polaris 4 seater utv and go explore.  He will give you a map.  Best day we've ever had in aruba.  We were there last week.

  2. Ok for the record, our cabin 2410 is extremely noisy at night!  You were right, we are directly under the galley!   It went on most of the night and then ramped up at 4 am!   But like someone mentioned, its mostly background noise with an occassional loud bang followed by someone yelling “hey man you ok”.  I literally thought they were out on our balcony lol.

The good news is our door is directly across from the lounge which makes it very convienent for morning coffee and food!  Sitt9ng on our balcony sipping coffee and eating a giant plate of bacon = heaven 😂

So far, a great cruise!  Won trivia last night and had a great first day!  Off to the gym now to work off all the bacon.

  3. Are there any private tours in Aruba that would take us to the sand dunes in sand buggies?  All the excursions through Carnival requires children to be 12+. Our son is 11 1/2 so they will not allow us to book.  Right now, we are excursion-less in Aruba for next week's visit!  Not sure what to do!  We live in Florida, so beaches are not exciting for us.  We are more the adventure types. Any ideas?

  4. Personally, we have always had the "free coffee".  We bring out own non-dairy creamer and Splenda.   Considering we drink Black Rifle Coffee, it's quite a step down, but we don't mind it for a week.  We are not big Starbucks fans and the coffee shop coffee reminds us to much of them.

We are in cabin 2410 which is directly across from the family lounge door!  Excited! Will be nice for our kids, and our coffee trips!  And it seems to be far enough from aft that we aren't under the galley.

  6. Hello everyone!   Couple questions - we will be on the 12/15 cruise and we have a family harbor suite.  Does the harbor lounge have hot water for making hot chocolate/tea?

We will be boarding at 11:30.   We plan on changing into our swimsuits and heading to Lido to grab a bite and lounge. Is that the best plan while the ship is loading?

Does the "secret deck" up front get crowded for the sail away?  Trying to decide how early we need to "sneak" up there lol.

  7. You might want to check out Back2Nature private jeep tours. They will customize a tour for you based on what you want and show you places most tourists never see!

I don't work for them but please let them know Bridget M. sent you!

Thank you for the suggestion - we just booked a tour with them!! Sounds like so much fun - and they have been super nice!

  8. Hello everyone - we will be cruising on Carnival to Cauracao in December. We've never been so not sure what to do. We are a family of four - two kids 14/11. We live in Florida, so snorkeling and beach is nothing special to us. Trying to find something different and exciting. We tend to stay clear of the tourist traps and will often venture off on our own. With that said, can anyone recommend something unique and different from the usual excursions offered by the cruiseline?

Also, the kids are content with spending the day on a beach IF they have the big inflatables! We go to Mexico often and will stay at Mr. Sancho's and they always have a blast. Anything similar in Curacao?

    Thanks!

  10. We will be visiting Aruba for the first time on a Thursday in December on our Carnival Horizon cruise. Family of 4, very fit/athletic and like to be active. Kids will be 14/11. Looks like we will be there from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Looking for ideas other than sitting on the beach - something off the beaten path and exciting. Although, if it's a fun beach with stuff to do we would do it! We would like to explore the island and see it all! Looking for ideas!

  12. The Avery and chocolate and pool are all at the port - no taxi needed. A lot of people will get off the ship and just hang around the pool area with all of this and the shops. One of our favorite places now.

  13. Thanks for the quick response! I seen the aviary mentioned in Mitsugirly's review and was interested, we have a 9 year old daughter and I think it would be something she would enjoy, we are not looking to travel outside the port area.

She will love it!!! We have a 13 year old daughter and 10 year old son. We were skeptical at first because we have Busch Gardens and Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa - and both have avery's to feed birds. So I thought, how good is this really going to be lol. But we went ahead and glad we did! The birds are very tame and will sit on your hands, shoulders and head. The Macaw's are very gentle and eat out of your hand without biting. Plus, you walk across rope bridges between avery's which was really fun!! And you walk over the dolphin pools which was cool.

We also did the chocolate factory which was great - brought home a ton of it!

if you are adventurous and looking to do something fun, find the Jeep Willy tour booth. We rented the custom made jeep and went on a two hour drive through the jungle and along the coast. You will get muddy so wear swimsuits! But we did that first, got back, jumped in pool and hate lunch and then did the birds.
