  1. I hate to admit this, but we have the same tv table at home! It cost us £7.99 from The Range. 🤐. We have just returned from a short 5 night break on Infinity. Whilst slightly tired in places ( and refit due next year ), my wife preferred the Infinity compared to our cruise on Eclipse, especially Michael's Club.

  2. We are sailing on a 5 night Western Caribbean departing 16 March. Please could someone kindly let us know:

    1. Is there just one formal / chic night - and is this on the fourth night?

    2. In Cozumel - which or the 3 piers do Celebrity dock at - International, Punta Langosta, or Puerta Maya?

    Many thanks in advance.

  3. Got off the Infinity this morning. Captain's Club (Maria) & Michael's Club (Sheila) hostesses are unchanged.

We are sailing in a few months, do you know if Sheila will be on the Infinity for a while?

  4. Having sailed Yacht Club (Seaside) and Celebrity Suite (Eclipse) I agree with all comments above. YC is truly a great experience and "everything" is included, even a fully stocked mini-bar in your room, and as much gelato as you want! For us, having your own sun deck, pool and grill is a huge positive with great service and no fights for sun beds, and free entry to the spa was great. The YC lounge is much better than the ageing Michael's Club on Celebrity, and with wonderful views. For me, Celebrity has a slightly larger cabin (with better TV channels - good to watch whilst the wife is getting ready....:')) and whilst always subjective, the food, especially in Luminae is of a higher standard. Also, we did like the benefit of reserved seating in the theatre on Celebrity on their Chic nights. That said, Celebrity is much more expensive. We had already booked Celebrity Infinity for next March before we went on the Seaside in May this year, but since we have returned we have very much been drawn again to the Yacht Club experience with MSC and booked the new Bellissima for February 2020. As an overall experience, we give Celebrity 8 out of 10, but MSC Yacht Club 10 out of 10.

  5. So, if you don’t mind me asking, what was the price difference between your X Celebrity Suite on Eclipse and the MSC Yacht Suite on Seaside?

If comparing on a like for like basis, I.e. Fully inclusive drinks package, and accepting that a Yacht Club suite is similar to a Sky Suite, and not a Celebrity Suite, so a smaller sized (but still reasonably sized) cabin, about £100 per person per night.

  6. We sailed MSC Seaside in May in a Yacht Club suite. Last year we sailed in a Celebrity Suite on the Eclipse. So comparing them: Celebrity had the larger suite, and better food in Luminae, whilst MSC was a beautiful ship, it's Top Sail lounge was far better than Micheal's Club, and MSC had its own pool deck for suite guests (with its own pool, hot tubs, full service bar and grill for breakfast and lunch if you wanted to eat outside rather than the restaurant), oh and every room has a fully stocked mini bar. From a price perspective, MSC is great value compared to Celebrity. This all said, we are sailing next year on the Celebrity Infinity in a Sky Suite, and have just booked MSC's new Bellissima for 2020, in a Yacht Club Suite.

  7. We had a bad experience in Tuscan on the Eclipse 18 months ago, which they could have resolved easily but dropped the ball and did not quickly respond to the complaint which left a bad taste in the mouth (sorry for the pun). We were offered to try again at no cost a couple of days late reply, but like the OP we felt the moment had passed. That said, we have booked Celebrity again next year on the Infinity to try Celebrity again. That said, we have recently sailed on the MSC Seaside, and found it to be extremely good value and a beautiful ship.

  8. Hi there. I haven't been to Nassau in a couple of years, but the last time I was there I went to Atlantis. It's a very short walk from port, or you can easily find a cab for just a couple of dollars. You'll be able to walk around the grounds and the casino, and you'll be able to see the pool and water park. You just won't be able to access the latter two without purchasing a day pass. When I was there the beach was free to access, but I'm not sure if that has changed. You should be able to see enough to determine whether or not you'd like to come back for a land-based visit. You could also try phoning Atlantis ahead of time to let them know you'll be there, tell them you're interested in staying, and ask for a tour. (I'm not sure if they do that sort of thing, but it couldn't hurt.) Perhaps they even have a "future bookings" consultant onsite, sort of like they have on cruises.

    Many thanks Ashley

  9. We are on the MSC Seaside in a couple of weeks and docking in Nassau on 25th May. My wife and I would very much like to have a wander around the Atlantic Hotel to see if we want to stay there for a few days in the future. We are not interested in the water park or beaches on this occasion. Any guidance on how best to achieve this would be gratefully appreciated. Many thanks.

  10. Hi, all.

We would like some recomendation for La Coruna apart from Ship excursions.

    Thank you for your help

We used "tours4cruisers.com" last September, and the tour was very good, a two and a half hour very informative tour around La Coruna stopping at all key points of interest for only €15 (think it has gone up to €17 now). Tour guide was very good and coaches new and clean, and just outside dock gates. We paid a €1 advance deposit, and the balance on the day. As we had booked in advance, you got "reserved seats" at the front of the coach. We highly recommend it, and also suggest that you look at their reviews on Trip Adviser to see what other people thought.

  11. When sailing on the Eclipse last year we ate in both Murano and Tuscan Grill.

Murano was excellent and the food very good, especially the table side cooking for the lobster.

Whilst we didn't have a great experience in Tuscan, this does seem to be the exception to the rule and perhaps we just caught them on an off night.
