  1. I know you will all have a fun time....have a drink for me

just got back from the Sapphire with David & Becky had a great time...say hi to everyone for us

Adding my hopes for a great cruise! Please give a hug from me to Janice' date=' Ruth, Reggie, Judy, Hanna-Nancy, anyone else I left off.[/quote']

You are going to love the Ruby. Miss you guys. I wish I was able to go. Make mine a DOUBLE.

  2. First time using Priceline. Got the Crowne Plaza in San Pedro for 75$ for May 1st, and then also booked the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver for May 16th for 95$ 4 star.

We were going to book the Westin Bayshore and it was around 275. for the night. Glad I checked Priceline first.

I looked for a 3 or 4 star hotel in San Pedro this March the night before our cruise. I heard about Priceline, and submitted a $70 bid. (My first bid on this website). My result was the Crowne Plaza for $70 for the 1 night. Good deal:)

Just got Crowne Plaza in San Pedro for $65. YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My FIRST Priceline bid. I was soooooooooo nervous!!

    Dottie:):):)

    Great deals...What dates?

  3. 1/27 in advance of the Oceania Regatta.... have you stayed there ? Are you on that cruise?

No I haven't stayed there. I looking for a pre-cruise ( 4/19 sailing of the Mariner of the Seas ) hotel near the pier. You have a great price and I think you will enjoy the Hotel. You should be able to see your ship arriving from the hotel. The hotel staff will know the best location to watch. Enjoy your stay and cruise. Let us know how it all works out.

  4. as I should have been but thanks to all you wonderful people, did get the Doubletree for $72. Waited until the last minute so didn't want to take a lot of chances. First time on Priceline & I was sort of nervous:rolleyes:. Worked out well & I'd really like to thank you all for the great tips. Feel so much better about getting to LA the day before cruise since our NW weather has been so iffy-scared to chance the day of..... Cheaper to get a new Alaska air ticket than do a flight deviason. Sounds like we'll be able to get to Von's or Costco to stock up on wine as a big bonus & won't need to worry about carrying in suitcase. Joy. Thanks again for help.

    What date...?

  5. My winning bid was $57.00 for the Holiday Inn Fishermans Wharf in SF. My Dates are 4-23-4-27. The 4 night total including tax was 270.71. I was actually bidding for a 2.5 star and was upgraded to a 3 star. Afterward I checked the online prices including the Holiday Inn and the cheapest room was 187.00 + tax per night. So I'm a happy camper.

    CaribbeanCrazy

BTW are you on the 4/27 sailing of the Mercury? If so see our Roll Call.

    David

  6. Usually to a deck at the front of the ship that is open to passengers, but not well known.

If you are going on a specific ship, just ask on the boards here, and someone is likely to know about your specific ship.

Remember, if it doesn't say "Crew Only" you can go there.

Where is this door on the Mercury ?

  7. waterproof case for camera/ money

colored rolls of electrical tape to lable soda containers uniquely

    portable cooler

    case of water bottles{when empty leaves room for shopping items}

    sun visor

always bring workout clothes but havent used yet, perhaps this trip?

Please tell us about your '' waterproof case for camera & money '':)

  8. Wow. I am so thankful I have you guys for my addiction to packing and preparing. So I went to Kmart today (yes they do still have some stores) and I found the insulated mugs with a Freeze eaze in the center. Just stick in it the Freezer and the center tube freezes. $1 at Kmart in the camping section. And it's a BIG mug!

I finally located the over the door plastic shoe rack when shopping at Kmart. They wanted $8!!! $8 is a lot of money for an o.t.d.p.s.r. I mean come on! Needless to say, I did not buy it. I bought a off-white tweed shoe rack at the $ store. You can't really see through it - but it will have to do.

I cannot find Bonine or Ginger Pills yet. I think I have to go to the health food store for the Ginger Pills. Anyways, I bought drowsy-free dramamine. hmmm.... I am not so sure I like that, but anyway.

Another thing I did was buy one of those composition books (black and white cardboard cover). Anyways, I took it home and cut and pasted pictures of the destinations I was going to and the small itinerary and small map from the Carnival Book. Then I put a laminating sheet on the front and back (after I decorated it) to protect it. My own personalized diary so to speak.

I bought two packages from Eckerd - Buy one get one free - two-pack disposable cameras - One for underwater and one for land. A good deal 4 cameras for $14.00.

I am so excited I cannot even stand it. I am driving my DH nuts. But I am not nuts - so that's good!

oh my - I didn't tell you - I even bought the frozen corn to feed the fishes when I go to Cemetery Reef in Grand Cayman. I have freeze-packs to keep them iced when in port). (I read somewhere that you get to experience "the pirahna experience" when you release the corn in the water). Maybe we shouldnt feed the fish - but don't they get hungry?

I guess I will buy my liquor at the last minute! I got to figure out exactly how I am going to smuggle (such good ideas on this board!).

Great cruise mugs!!!! Good luck finding some!

The fish also like the ceral from wake call room service. Leave box behind and just take bag and open underwater, dock, or glass bottom boat.

If you want to feed the fish, they love the ceral in the small boxes they give you with breakfast room service.
