  1. Taking a 5day cruise on Getaway stopping in Cozumel and Harvest Cay. Is the $25 insurance good coverage at all?

Understand one must pay cash upfront and get reimbursed. How do you get that cash and what if you don't have that kind of cash? Thank you.

I’m so curious how this is going to play out in Florida.  DH and I are scheduled on the Encore out of Miami in December, but we do not want to go if it’s not 100% vaxed.

Carnival cruise has 26 employees and pasenger with covid. They were all fully vaccinated.

No. At least not after final payment. Typically what happens is you are given an option to pay the difference to upgrade to a higher cabin type. If the price drop is significant, you may be offered to upgrade to a higher cabin type for free. Alternatively, you are usually offered 25% of the price drop as onboard credit. Once, we were offered 50% of the price drop as future cruise credit.

Note that this is a one shot deal. If the price drops and you call to take advantage of one of these forms of compensation, then the price drops AGAIN, you will not be offered additional compensation.

Thank you Jamie. That sounds fair enough from NCL

No. You have to cancel and rebook at the lower price. But...

-You can't do that after final payment.

-You can't carry over any of the promos you had on the old booking if they aren't running on the new booking.

    Thank you

well so far the prices went down on my cabin twice, and i have saved almost $2,000. i just thought i'd share the information with people taking this cruise

Is that the way it works... if room booked at $800pp and price drops to $600 can you get $200 refund?

    I'll add...

August 7 Encore will be the first NCL ship to sail on this side of the pond.

August 15: Gem is scheduled to be the first to sail from Maimi.

Than you. I'll look for those.

I have a cruise booked on the Spirit out of Athens on the 23rd August. Payment is due today and keep getting email reminders.  I agree with all the above, I think there is zero chance of this now going ahead, although as an airline employee, I see from my Interline website that they have just released dates for staff to book numerous NCL cruses from 1st September.    Although I am not happy to give them any more money, question is, if I don't make final payment, as the cruise has not as yet been cancelled, am I in breach of contact and they can rightfully keep my deposit?

If I'm using the word correctly- this is a conundrum.

I discussed it with the hotel director and the concierge, they approved it. We actually invited a few crew members but their work schedules did not allow for it. It was an Oktoberfest function going on in the Fort in Bermuda. We had booked a table for 10. They ate and enjoyed the music and dancing but they did not drink any alcohol, afterwards we all walked back to the ship together. It was a nice evening.

That's a great thing to do. Very nice. Sorry people put you down on this.
