May I suggest a debit card instead as they charge a percentage for using credit cards but not debit

Thanks... Have thought of that as I own a travel debit card but there's comments that the temporary deduction from debit card can be as long as a month. I'm considering swapping with credit card first but to make payment at counter using travel debit card before disembarking to avoid the percentage charge.

You can get them to change it at check in and also at guest services once on board.

    Will do. Thanks.

  2. Hi all,

I have done online check in for ovation of the seas for departure in sydney next month and need to change onboard payment mode from cash to credit card. I've tried but the website does not allow amendment. Will we be allowed to make the change on the day of embarkation at the cruise terminal?

If payment is in cash, will we be required to put up a deposit at the start of cruise or just settling the outstanding before end of the cruise?

    Thanks in advance...

I’ve done that cruise, from memory the formal night was the second night.

the shows are usually repeated but not all.

The food in the dining room wasn’t so good.we did a test. The buffet had identical food only fresher.

We eat in the main dining room then went up to Windjammer.

The steak and the duck in the dining room had been in the warmer and was old.

The buffet it was fresh.but to be honest at times wasn’t the best place because of rude people.

To be honest give the main dining room a miss.

The best kept secret is the solarium.its a pleasant place to eat and the food is much better as it has its own chief that cooks in front of you,you are supposed to book.

Theres usually a few deals with the specialty restaurants so keep an eye on your cruiseplanner.

How frequent does the menu for solarium bistro change? I'll be taking ovation on 26 Feb 18 for 10 night identical itinerary too. Have booked 2nd night for solarium bistro. Thanks in advance..
