  1. I've been cruise for a while and have been an over packer all my life. I've never had over weight bags or had to pay for extra baggage. ..but I do take it to the limit. We take long vacations with multiple stops and travel across the US to catch all our cruises. We also travel overseas. I pack for any situation I can think of...we paid $10.00 for advice on the ship once. regarding of of it's not worn, I love to have options, and in my daily life I don't get to dress up, wear makeup, or accessories. So being able to play dress up is fun to me. I also pack with organizing tools to keep our room, travel documents and clothing organized. Unless my mobility is affected or I have to pay for extra bags I will continue to be prepared...with my curves it is sometimes hard to buy clothes on vacation . Safe travels everyone.

  2. Hello everyone,Regarding the orginal post…the cost of room service. I admit that in the past RC room service has not been the best tasting (I tried before the new menu came out). However, when room service is your ONLY option after 9pm, it is a nice option when it was free (RC smaller ships do not have sorrentos pizza late night). I will say again that I was disappointed by the new charge(s). I've read the suggestions of smuggling food to my room, or packing my own snacks… I booked for 2018 last year…at the time of booking the fee did not apply. However, after hearing about the fee. I emailed RC and voiced my concerns. RC gave me stock answers that did not satisfy me suggesting that fee was due to menu improvements. I asked if they were compensating any way…they responded "no". RC suggested that if I wanted to eat after 9 pm; I could book a suite for free room service. After serveral back and forth emails…with my concerns I continued to receive stock answers. Specfically I asked if the WJ would be open later on Vision…"no". I see from earlier posts, suggesting that european website and travel agents saying only late night menu fee applies apx. $3.00. In the U.S. I was told different info, I will see what happens on the Vision in 2018 med cruise. I asked if there was a RC brand ambassador…"no". I would like to ask that all people who are not happy with the new charge for room service, please contact RC directly and let them know. Power in numbers. For those who don't care about the charge, please do not try to shame those of us who are not happy with the fee. To everyone have awesome travels.

  3. I really hope this isn't fleet-wide. RCI already has very limited options after 9 PM or so for food. Room service was one of the only ways to get something good, but I'm not paying $8 for that.

I agree, with you!:D On the smaller ships on RC, after 9 pm there were limited choices: a few sandwiches and pizza that were not up to par.:') Smaller ships do not have late night dining options like the oasis class ships. I would hope that instead of other RC travelers making remarks about what other company standards are…support the fact that some RC cruisers like to eat after 9 pm and do not want to pay an additional fee. The fact the RC used to offer this service and now it is being taken away is a concern for some of your fellow travelers. No need for some of you to take the RC stance and be so personal about it. Also, I've seen people make comments on their wheight and food choices, CC is about supporting fellow cruisers and offering tips and advice. People should be able to give their opinion and share their experience…be it good or bad.:) I enjoy late night meals and want the option of free room service back! I do beleive that some people waste food so a minimal $2-3; charge/tip for meals from 2am-4am would be ok with me.

  4. Does anyone know if the Vision of the seas: 1. are there fridges in the rooms since the reno? 2. can you request a bathrobe even if you are not in a suite? 3. Since the reno, has the shower curtain issue been fixed? A lot of people said the curtain sticks to you, do they have shower doors now? 4. Room 7069 is near the centruim and the elevator….How is the noise? Can you hear music coming from the centrum stage? (I know sound levels are subjective), I'm a light sleeper. Are there any staff work spaces near by, like where they store the dishes or their carts? Thanks to anyone who responds, I apprecaite all the help. I did look in the room review section and I did not see that anyone reviewed this room yet. 5. Does RC ever ask take requests for which entertainers that they book? Thanks in advance.

  5. Thanks everyone! To clarify it seems I got my classes of ships wrong…..To be clear I was very happy on the Oasis and the Allure of the sea. When we went on the Seranade I was unhappy with the late night food available and late night venues. This time we will be on the Vision of the sea. I guess my only choices will be to 1. pack my own snacks which defeats the purpose of all inclusive :o or 2. be a pack rat and store food from the buffet in my room :(, or 3. pay for a room service. It just seems wrong to charge for room service meals on the smaller ships because you have very few choices to begin with at night. Thank you, for your help and insight!:D

  6. Hello everyone. I have sailed on RC 2 Oaisis class ships and on the Serenade of the seas. Next time we will be sailing on a 12 night cruise on the Vision of the seas. I was spoiled on the Oasis class ships and a little disappointed on the Radience class ship as far a late night activites and places to find late night food. We chose the Radience again due to the itinerary. I am aware that there is now a room service charge clear.png?emoji-frown-1741 and I do not want to start that topic again. Last time we did late night movies, read, went to the spa, and played pool. These options were good. The music places shut down and we did not see any late night comedy shows. Do people on these ships go to bed early? No offense to those who do go to bed early. Every night the only free food we could find was by the pool. I felt the pizza was nothing like Sorrento's and the sandwiches were not tasty in my opinion. Any suggestions regarding free late night (after 11pm) food options and things to do? Thanks
